Uttar Pradesh government has taken the first action 7 days after the Hathras accident. 6 officers including SDM, CO of Sikandrarau of Hathras have been suspended. Actually, the state government had formed a Special Investigation Team i.e. SIT to investigate this accident. SIT submitted its 900-page report to CM Yogi late on the night of 8th July. The negligence of the organizing committee has been cited as the main reason for the stampede in the report.
