Thanks for the video, 0-60mph 7.0s seems to be a bout a second and a half quicker than I've seen advertised. Autotrader list it at 8.6, this sounds much better.

I do not know why but Hyundai underestimate their cars in terms of performance :)

My wife has just ordered an N Line PHEV and I was really disappointed to see that the claimed figures of 8.6 seconds 0-62mph is slower than the HEV model. I have unrealistic expectations (my Stage 1 Audi S5 does 0-62 in 3.8 seconds (Dragy timing) ) and so I thought the Tucson was going to feel pedestrian, but this looks pretty good, a nice balance between performance and practicality. Thanks for the video!

I switched from a Sonata N-Line to a 22 Tucson SEL. Huge power difference but way more comfortable

This vehicle would have been such a better package with either an eCVT or 8-speed auto. In my personal opinion, I think a belt less eCVT like the one Toyota uses is the ideal transmission for these types of efficiency/eco-minded vehicles.
Still, I think Hyundai really raised the bar with packaging, interior features, and comfort with this vehicle. Hope it makes Toyota rethink their strategy with the Rav4 or Venza and make them more upscale.

I think this handles better than Toyota for the same reason of going with traditional AWD. Hyundai has something called e-handling to make it even more fun. As far as I heard, Toyotas went for efficiency while Hyundai went for driving enjoyment.

@@sftech9215 I saw a video by Driving Sports TV that tested the AWD system in the Tucson Hybrid and it had some issues. The channel tested the Rav4 Hybrid and it aced the test the channel put it through despite having an eAWD system. I'm not saying anything bad about the Hyundai but, if there is one thing I love about Toyota is that they know how to make things that work very, very well.

I went for the tucson because of 6 speed auto and not terrible cvt. toyotas drive awful because of cvt, which is ok for yaris, but not anything bigger

true but you still may want to know how it does it, especially in EV mode which is such a rare thing to find, for me, EV mode is completely useless if you can't follow city traffic without engine kicking in, this one seems capable of doing it easily
