    this is the perfect how-to guide! Very thorough, and straight to the point. It saves me so much time when I don't have to skip around a lot of introduction and side story. thank you!

    Your video is the best I have seen! The way you water with a teaspoon rather than misting ought to help melt the pellets better and faster. I saved your video to my phone so I can refer to it easily and often. Thank you so much for showing and telling us how to germinate lisianthus in clear detail🥀🌹

    I love your video on germinating lisianthus and how you care for them. Thank you so much for sharing. I failed the first time I tried growing them, and I’m trying again and they have germinated, they’re so small! I needed to see how they are supposed to look and get started caring for them.

    Thank you for your video! I just got my seeds I am looking forward to following every step so I may be successful the first time. Thanks to your detailed oral and visual and written instruction! Hope to report back in mid Dec to early Jan. God bless you for sharing!

    Your lisianthus look great. I'm trying these the first time ever. I sowed them on Jan 2nd and finally got germination (on Jan 13th/14th). I did not use a heat mat.

      Yes, I try that too last year, without heat mat by the windowsill, they germinate nicely but they took a long time, but it was a great comparison to see how they respon to their environment.

      Hi again, my lisianthus are getting bigger. Do you transplant yours to separate pots to grow bigger?

      @@bellarosa009 Awesome! 😃 Yes, I transplant them into a 72 cell pot, they should be ok in there till it's ready for the outdoor.

    Buenas tardes. La temperatura que dice es aparte de lo que pueda guardar con el plástico. O se puede utilizar algo más cerrado para subir la temperatura

    Great guide! Little late in the year, but I want to try to germinate them in May since I finally found a pack of their seeds at the store!

    Very thorough video! One question though: Do you plant directly outdoors from this seedling flat or do you re pot into larger pots for the next step?

    Very nice instructions. Do you mind sharing your type of potting seed mix?

    • @Footprintsinthegarden
      @Footprintsinthegarden  3 года назад +3

      I use Jiffy seed starting mix from Lowes 😄

      @@Footprintsinthegarden Thank you! I thought about using miracle grow seed starter. However, after much research, I’ve decided that I might stretch my mix and save $$$. I’m trying something new this year for my veggie seed trays--- a homemade DYI mix of 2-part sphagnum peat moss + 1-part vermiculite/perlite and a little sand. I am late with my seeds but I hope to have some germination in time for spring planting outside.

    My heat mat probe says the soil is at 75 degrees. Should it be warmer than that?

    • @Footprintsinthegarden
      @Footprintsinthegarden  2 года назад +2

      No, don't go any higher. 60 - 75 is a good range, don't go lower than 60 or higher than 75.
