The fact that brand new CPUs boot in 16-bit mode by default, and have an 8-bit mode available is ridiculous. Holding on to the history of x86 is holding computing back significantly.

If only I could be so optimistic. Linux as a desktop OS is still currently at such a low marketshare. SteamOS will likely continue to boost it quite a bit, especially with it coming to more devices. But the push will need to happen consistently for years before gaming on linux becomes big enough IMO. A small desktop steamOS box would de cool, and would cover those who want a 'home console'-esque device. Sailly is so exspensive in my country of Denmark i would advise to get a local sim you can get so much more data for cheaper here since we already have cheap data
Random insight in Saily, I’m using it right now and it’s saving me $12 a day on Bells stupid US roaming plan. Canadian cell phone companies suck for the record.
RUclips themselves clickbait me all the time giving me a popup asking whether I want to "extend" my youtube premium (I don't have and never had youtube premium, because of reasons everyone except RUclips probably knows)
i actually really like the new sandisk logo so consider me hype. proves a logo can be both stylized and clean, well done sandisk! (i also just want more cyberpunk-esque branding on things. i hate the generic font on a white background trend)
Another gripe about Google. I received a text msg, wanting me to activate the "Gemini" AI on my Android phone. I am not interested in that feature and wanted to just delete the text message. However, the popup is so militant, that every time I try to bring up the drop-down options and delete the msg, it just brings up the popup for Gemini again. This makes it impossible for me to delete this text. Basically, I am taking this as Google attempting to force the end user to use their AI whether they want to or not. This practice is unacceptable.
I’ve reported many videos to RUclips where the title, description, or the thumbnail had nothing or little to do with the video. Every time I checked the videos they were still up without any changes.
So RUclips is now re-introducing a very VERY complicated dislike button. You know, the thing they created in the past that let you very easily tell others if a video did not live up to expectations.
Had my Steam Deck for 2 years now...all I wish for is to put it under Windows for Fortnite, Genshin, Wuthering Waves, now Infinity Nikki, but I like Steam OS and the Steam Performance overlay and how they keep adding and adding feature and making Steam OS better and better. Hopefully third party launcher will be an official thing someday, I do use nonSteamLaunchers but some games just have anti-cheat that won't even let it launch and some games just don't work (yet?).
The thing with telling apple they must allow other smart watches to be compatible with ios etc means that apple smart watches must them be made compatible with other os too.

Sailly is so exspensive in my country of Denmark i would advise to get a local sim you can get so much more data for cheaper here since we already have cheap data
These are not my tech news!!! this is not my beautiful linus!!!
That ship has sailed. We have Geezer Linus now
I love Riley's Tim Cook impression, it just makes me smile. Cheers
I miss Jakob and Jessica
I'd say something about there being water at the bottom of the ocean, but apparently they removed that part from the official music video...
2:44 i all the time see a title and thumbnail assuming i get the gist of it and dont watch. So i like the rule
Random insight in Saily, I’m using it right now and it’s saving me $12 a day on Bells stupid US roaming plan.
Canadian cell phone companies suck for the record.
Truly a once in a lifetime TechLinked intro
Has anyone made a supercut of Riley's Tim Apple impersonations? We need that. I could watch that all day on a loop.
I love how Riley's Tim Cook is getting more and more unhinged as time goes on.
In other Gamelinked news, Valve released the final Team Fortress 2 comic. Please give it a read, it's absolute cinema.
The intro to the Talking heads song, Once in a lifetime reference was pretty damn good. 😂
So RUclips is now re-introducing a very VERY complicated dislike button. You know, the thing they created in the past that let you very easily tell others if a video did not live up to expectations.
But what if they are friendly aliens from Melmak?
Hide the cats and the ketchup!
The sponsor is actually pretty useful to me and a bunch of people I know. I went to download it and accidentally downloaded simly, their competitor 😂
Techlinked deserves a live background. Like the current background but the squares slowly moving.
We had hecklers whilst Riley hosted before Jakob and Jessica, why can't we have them now?
MERRY CHRISTMAS TECHLINKED CREW AND VIEWERS!!!!!
this man (Riley) is an Oscar nominee, he just doesn't know it yet
EU is always one step ahead on rest of the world in consumer rights and getting rid of BS from big techs (like iphone without usb-c)
gosh dang it Riley you are a gem. Please never change
Merry Christmas, LMG!!

Once in a lifetime you may find yourself hosting a tri weekly covering and reviewing of the events in technology. You may find yourself delivering an advertisement thereafter. You may find yourself discussing shorter topics referred to only as the quickbits. You may ask yourself as Tim Cook 'why tho?' and you may say to yourself the legion is not my beautiful wife!
I'm gonna be honest, being able to use airdrop from my galaxy would be pretty handy, it's pretty slick
if youtube is fighting against clickbaits, why i still see scam ads before videos and i can't easily block them with an adblock?
The tim cook imitation never hets old 😂
Great... I got Talking Heads stuck in ... My head 😂
There's no o2 from OpenAI because the name would clash with O2, a UK mobile network operator.
the sandisk rebrand is one of the few modern rebrands that does not suck
