- The Lakers sank 18 three-pointers as a team (18-38 3pt FG, 47.4%) en route to a 129-115 victory over the Hornets tonight in Los Angeles. LeBron James led the Lakers with 27 points (11-19 FG) and 9 assists, while Kentavious Caldwell-Pope tallied 25 points (8-14 FG, 6-10 3pt FG), 4 rebounds and 4 assists in the victory. Additionally, Rajon Rondo dished out a season-high 17 assists for the Lakers. Kemba Walker led the Hornets with 24 points (9-18 FG) and 6 assists, while Dwayne Bacon finished with 21 points (8-14 FG) in the losing effort. With the win, the Lakers improve to 34-42, while the Hornets fall to 35-40 on the season.
The Hornets are now 2.0 games behind the 8-seed Heat in the Eastern Conference standings.

That was a great overall team effort and win for the Lakers! The thing that impressed me the MOST was they shot 18/37 (47%) from downtown where they are 2nd to last in The NBA in that stat. KCP is finding his nitch averaging 20+ pts in the last 3 games and Rondo with a season high 17 assists. It's amazing when any sports team is cohesive on both ends and the Lakers are developing that but they need to keep it up and build on what they have for next year. I believe they should keep Rondo, Kuz, KCP McGee,Lance, Caruso, Jon Williams, these players are showing that they want to be apart of that playoff team next year if God wills it.

sick of them saying they aint got enough shooters. they made the most points in the paint first half of the season and they set a franchise record for most 3's in a game. the team has just had bad luck with injuries and that dumbass quarrel in the first game that led to suspensions plagued their mentality from the jump. next year they are gonna be a problem. one max player would put them over the top.

Steve J a lot of players were injured most of the year josh hart, Lonzo, Ingram, rondo, and most importantly Lebron. This isn’t the only game they went off from 3 as well. They get one more marquee player and they will be solid although I will say the zubac trade and getting Tyson chandler, muscala and Bullock was garbage.
Steve J Lonzo was shooting 40% from 3 before injury. KCP not half bad. They’re all average 3 point shooters. Before the Lebron injury they were 4th in west with their first year playing together. When they were 4th they were still down key players. Healthy roster, another key player, more experience and chemistry but for me it all comes down to Lebrons horrendous free throws. I’m actually glad they got the summer off.
