Just like shameless which to me was another channel 4 classic it went too over the top and killed it. To me brookside and shameless are my all time favourites

How come the dad in the new family was killed off so soon....and then the mom a few months later..,.. weren't really giving much of a chance to them although i think she was killed ooff because the show was being cancelled anyway
This hostage plot lasted the whole month of November, which is much too long and boring. No wonder Brookside finished a year later, I'm surprised it lasted that long.
