While in the Primary School, they told us Africans didn't have history (l think they meant written history) so we studied European history(mainly British history). We learnt about what they called Old lands(Europe, Asia &China) and New lands( the Americas-mainly USA and Canada-, Australia & New Zealand).Africa featured nowhere except a passing mention of the Pyramids as one of the then seven wonders of the world.

I’m so excited because today my daughter who was christian admitted her eyes are now open. I didn’t really believe her. I laughed because she may know some things. But no, she’s starting her journey with Dr. John Henrik Clarke.
