I saw my little sister in those little girls. I grew up very poor. I am in the USA, but as a child have been evicted from section 8 apartments where rent was only 100 dollars because my mother couldn't make bills, food and rent. I moved 13 times before high-school because of this situation. My siblings and I were in and out of foster homes because of her financial situation and also in and out of battered women shelters ( basically a homeless shelter for single moms who have been victims of abuse with nowhere to go). Many Christmases were made possible by Catholic Charities and the Salvation Army. I am extremely fortunate to have worked my way out of that situation and am able to give my children a nice stable home with food in the fridge and pantry, new clothes and anything they need. I try to fulfill their wants as best as I can without spoiling them to a point that makes them not realize that it feels good to earn things in life. With all of this said, having lived my first 18 years on this planet like many of the people you see in these videos, I can tell you that there are not many men like BI out there. I try my best to help when I can, but my goal is to get to a point where I can do what BI does and more.

That little girl got so excited when her sister was given the money and for the older boys to hug you could tell they really, really needed it. I'd love to see some follow ups to his videos. These kids deserve to be kids and not have the weight of the world thrust upon them at such a young age.
These are kids with the type of attitude, humility, and focus that will be able to properly make use of opportunity and a helping hand. They're selling their own teddy bears for the sake of making the rent! They're resourceful, savvy, and grateful. It was amazing to see their worry melt away for the time being. I was also pleased to see how the little girl immediately wanted to get BI's contact info. She KNOWS this is only temporary reprieve, welcome and generous as it may be. With the right opportunity, these kids will fair well.

Every time that girl says thank you uncle, my rage against this unfair system is getting worse. Children should be at home, school, happy and loved… look at what we have created.
Think abt it this way, if there werent any poor people why would we need to help one another. With them it gives us the oppurtunity to proove that we r all humans and shld care for each other. I come from a not so rich family myself there are 7 of us 5 kids and my parents and bcuz we r plenty it is hard to have everything we want but glory be to God my dad started his own business. It hasnt kicked off yet but it is getting better and i have faith in God that when it is our time to be delivered we will be delivered and even have enough to help others. I love this form of respect. I am called uncle Richie by all the younger men and ladies where I live, I'm only 43. It's used because I was once a very bad man, cane home different, and helped raise all the kids.

Every time that girl says thank you uncle, my rage against this unfair system is getting worse. Children should be at home, school, happy and loved… look at what we have created.
