Today I'll be playing the legacy version of Roblox Creatures of Sonaria! It was pretty fun, but I'll be trying to figure out what's better in legacy than recode!

i remember in legacy that everybody hated minawii because they would camp out in a little hole in oasis and just SCREAM.
people started targetting them when they got to oasis because they were just so sick of the noise
I was that 1 minawii that never screamed cuz i didnt play nor cared about sound and sounds. Ppl would bully me for something i dont do. I just like minawii's design 😢

I killed 1237 minawiis in legacy and now in recode I have 1345
Minnawiis went from being the most loved creature to the most hated in a night at that time 🤣

From the legacy, I only want a mechanic where creatures cling to the wall, that's the only thing I want.
Possibly food storage, just in case :D

@@Polosatik.Tv2 in recode and maybe legacy there are creatures with the ability climber which can climb on walls and ceilings.
Without strafing, getting behind your enemy was crucial to survival

as a beta, i know most things
Saturated effect DOES NOT EXIST in legacy
no strafing
jumping was in the beta but was removed when it exited (ikoran and kiridian were the few who could jump)
healers cannot deal damage so when they get targetted they basically cant do anything

I hated the healers after they took away breath from dragon plushies. Not only did the value drop and demand but healers were so dumb

for me, in my servers the oasis is either full or is filled with ken's and kora's. i miss when the oasis was actually fun..
I don’t Miss the oasis I am glad it’s not I’m recode if there was the game would just be empty again and everybody would just kill by the time you killed someone for food
oasis was only fun because its the only place people cared about, which was dumb
Bro, the ken racism was so real in legacy. If you were a ken, you were immediately assumed to be kos. I feel like i was the only chill, ken, lol
@@Aergia_The_One I was chill to but like u said as a Ken u were prosecuted like a black man an slayed on the stake just for breathing back then as a Ken it was to kill or be killed kir , the only way I survived was to stay in the water and kill npc’s to survive only time I came out is once I became a elder b/c then ik I could protect myself and less ppl would want the smoke ahhh the days 🤞
For me,Legacy's map feels more "full" (plantlife scattered around,no place felt too empty or boring). Recode's map is neat but you tend to not go explore because there's not really much to explore. Also loved the random coloured meats; people would kill creatures just to see the different coloured meat 😂
i played since early beta, the recode map feels a lot more full than the map in this video imo, i reeeally liked the vibe of the veryyy first map though
I always explored the recode map more because people tend to be everywhere, not just all huddled up in oasis. When I explored in legacy, I either did so because a kos group had taken over oasis or because there was something in particular I wanted to find, such as the hidden cave in mountains.
Oh for me it's the opposite, in recode I feel like there is more to explore than legacy
I personally like the legacy swamp a lot more than the recode one. The legacy swamp felt alive and it was almost like scattered islands in a big pool that spilled into the ocean, it wasn't the most popular biome but I enjoyed it and people would visit it and spend time there. Pretty much no one spends much time in the recode swamp and it feels bland with only a bunch of trees and a river with a small island in it, it also feels so much smaller and more dead than what it used to be.
Legacy before kendyll remodel was perfect. It was the game that we loved
Also game went from survival to pvp game when meat spawners added

I personally prefer recode over legacy. For new players, it's easier for them to learn the mechanics.
Inprefer recode cuz my friends play onit and it looks better altough i began on legacy arround kendylls relaease

man i love the map,it felt so big now the map feels tiny and u can travel the entire map in like 5 secs with some creatures
plus and plus u could see how the biomes transitioned to others like how redwoods has some snow from tundra,the only issue i had with the old map is that i didnt have many biomes,i also love the plants as there was more variety is like some plants had orange berries others had blue just had so many memories back then:)

Started playing in legacy but took a long break from cos, so when I rejoined in recode I thought I joined the wrong game 😂

I quit cos for 8 months, and when I came back, it felt like a completely new game. I don't even understand the mechanics anymore. It made me quit the game again. I do watch some cos video, when it gets to my recommendation on yt, but I still haven't played the game for a while now.

Legacy is so nostalgic... I started play in CoS in February 2021... But sad thing that I play on phone and without strafing I basically can't fight little creatures on 5 tier creatures.

I think strafing is good for the players who are not good at pvp and the ones having lag issue

Man I miss legacy too there was just such a different vibe, while I do prefer the controls of recode, its map just feels so empty and saddening, but the legacy map is so full of life and fun!! I just wish more people played legacy cause then I would. Rq like one of my fav memories was being in a wardens only pack (everyone was a different warden) and we did a pilgrimage around the entire map going to each warden shrine) those were the good old days…

For me the structure of the new map makes it feal smaller

old map was literally just a worse and smaller version of the current map💀
i like recode better, mostly because of satiated, and it's much easier and i don't disconnect much unlike legacy
edit: for those who are confused about the "disconnecting" part i meant running out of memory and poofing into thin air so here's the explanation ur welcome
LITERALLY- I used to lag out so often in legacy. God, so many evenings spent frustrated because of lagging out during a battle and getting the log penalty (Remember when it used to disable breath and abilities? Good times.)
I remember the bug where people can just levitate, even heavy grams
old map is so much better, thier sea world is bigger, the sea now is just disappointing

The amount of nostalgia I heard just from the menu music brought me so back...
Transferring to recode on mobile was REALLY easy, all the controls were in the same spot. Or I just thought the controls were easy to use
Bro, i remember using abilities for mobile in legacy was a nightmare cause you have to go into the actions menu then press ability, and you had no way of knowing the cooldown

In the old version the meat was a different colour for different creatures
in legacy u can air pvp properly and its easier to afk farm mush
in recode sea creature can jump better pvp in land
So many flashbacks are coming back to me, bc I remember going through the long tunnels in the desert by the oasis avoiding creatures trying to kill me😭

How do I enter legacy
Go to the settings then go to the bottom right of your screen there is a button called "legacy mode" then just press it

in legacy you use tail whip everytime you move like if you walk you can only use tail whip if you stop you use the head. Used to have colored meat for different creatures.
i wish that they let us play with the old designs on legacy
When a creature dies it used to have physics and colored correlated to the creature that died. Now it’s all red and teleports to the ground. How could they say more realistic but remove that tiny detail
Thanks to this video I try Legacy and I can't believe it has my save data from back then still. Which meant I still has my two glimmer creatures, and I think that's really cool that your old data is still there. lol

I played as a ikoran and kept dying and never really got the hang of it til the recode, really did help and idk why but the menu confused the hell outta me.
Legacy’s map feels bigger

anyone remember how when grab and latch were the same thing and like sometimes a jetebene would just attatchitself on a big creatures back and make himself its wings or like jets,
i played craetures of sonaria in 2022 i think then i stoped cuz it was hard but legacy brings back memories like i really liked the tree in swamp for some reason that i don’t know
I began playing CoS like 4 years ago and i gotta say i miss legacy a LOT
It was definitely way better.
I like legacy more because of the map it’s so much better than recode I wish they kept the map in recode

Recode is much better in my opinion, even talking about economy I've been playing cos probably since 2 years and it was so difficult for me to get anything, everything was very expensive because tokens were pretty rare to find. It wasn't that bad tho because there was more diversity in people playing different creatures other than kaijus n wardens like the case now.
The mechanics and gameplay is much easier and realistic in recode. I complain a bit about artifacts, events and new updates but honestly everything is much easier and less boring with new missions and all.
I just miss a bit the old map, it was very small but just the way it was built was more fun, there was so many little caves and holes you could go through while flying and that big flying isle, and also the high rocks with waterfalls on them. It was a bit more mystic compared to now, recode feels a bit flat now.

(also the kora wasn’t bad, you cant choose wether you use your tail or head, well kinda, the way you look doesn’t matter in legacy, its if you are moving or not, if you are moving you tail swipe and if you stand still you bite)

I love the legacy mode but the recode is just a small bit more complex but the animations are much smoother but the legacy just gives nostalgia it is so much easier to pvp in recode
Honestly I love both versions of course I will always have sentimental value to the OG the virus. And generally it's just pretty polish technically better just the mechanics work a whole lot more but I am glad I don't have to deal with many role players as I had to do before or auntie and k o s s as much as before. Also I just enjoy how you look all struck and clueless about all of these mechanics
As a player who played both versions, i can say confidently that recode is so much better than legacy. Some people just get nostalgic and attached to legacy, and i experience the same thing sometimes. But the recode is just the polishing that the game really needed, and it's amazing. I always see myself going back to legacy to enjoy the past experiences i had with my friends.
i love legacy, i played during beta and like a couple of months after but i prefer recode more, mostly because its ui is more easy for me to understand and stuff
I miss how the meat looked in the legacy, the new one is weird. And all the bleed and poisin mechanics in the new game make it nearly impossible to survive for long as anything less then a tier 4

in legacy there used to be different types of Berrys you could eat, like the watermelon, lunar and this orange one, in recode we dont have this, and in legacy it was more fun and entertaining

I personally like recode, I quit CoS for 2 years and just come around, the new mechanism and many stuff can help players
You don't have to wait ages to grow with satiate too, a lot of buff and debuff and feel a bit more.survival game with no food fall off the sky

In legacy the tail wipe works defrent it was if u walk u tail wipe and if u stand u do nornal atk and if u lose stamina u can't tail wipe the only bad think was that after walking u will still tail wioe for like 3secs even if standing

I played both for about the same time and I must say recode has more quality of life but legacy has just got such a good vibe to it when you dont have to get gachas and hope for a creature you need for a diff gacha(I hated that feature with all my heart)

Fr it’s so much more vibrant , the terrain just seems funner, it feels more full, and even if it feels compacted it will still feel like a better product then recode

Am a beta player, grew up with legacy. I would just afk at flower cove, don't no what it is about recode but it makes me want to explore whereas legacy felt like a grindy game to me.

The new graphics seem less in depth compared to the old graphics but maybe for the sake of optimization

My mostly like in legacy is:
You can grab or latch to them when your lion and you have to many kids they can hunt
It better for survival and documentary
You can nest faster it give 10%+ into 100%
You can fish
You can go oasis to hunt and get out of oasis and came to your home and feed them and more.
The most scariest happened to me: a kora attack as in a lil cave, he cower and keep breathing us and we all running.my tricks as hygos when hunting is cower and when I stand it means it's my time to ambush my prey. Tysm for reading
My most like at recode: you can strafe pvp
You are weak as other big so as small you can team him up
You can dart and has grab to catch anything and more beautiful thing
