    I got to wear a thobe once and was surprised at how very cooling and comfortable it was. I wouldn't mind wearing it everyday.

    Oh so this is where spanish got the word "franela" from. The first time I saw men wearing kandura is when I went to Qatar and I was fascinated to see it in real life. Thank you for explaining to us about your traditional clothing.

    Can Non-Emiratis & Non-Muslims wear the Emirati Traditional Clothing? Expat here. I would like me, my uncle, mother, & auntie to experience wearing the clothing too when we tour Abu Dhabi.

    And the bisht?
    Thank you for clarifying about underwear!!!

    • @adaywithabdul
      @adaywithabdul  3 года назад

      Good question. Bisht is only worn by grooms or by sheikhs and only on special occasions. Thus, it's not a part of the Emirati everyday wear.

      @@adaywithabdul thank you very much! I bought one in Dubai, which I use, as a robe, at home! Initially i planned to use it in an event but i didn't have the balls… thought it may be considered disrespectful!
