My favorite set of stamps is the US Presidential Issue from 1938. Why does it mean so much to me? Simple. In 1956 my Dad took me to a stamp store to purchase the $1,2 and 5 with money I had received for Christmas. I’m 79 now and I remember that trip, like it was yesterday. Thx Dad.

I was able to buy those 3 at face at a small Post Office back in '59. I was 10. My dad bought up all of the other values they had. What amazed is was the fact we were able to buy a half sheet of the 1927 Lindbergh airmail. Nicely centered too.

I've been collecting envelopes, both foreigh and domestic, postmarked on my birth date for years now. The earliest one I have is a stampless cover posted in 1840 from NYC, which set me bacl quite a chunk of $$$. My real prize if a French cover postmarked in 1868.
I also collect covers posted on the ships my dad served aboard in WW2, cpvers postmarked on friends' and family member's birth dates (great gifts!), and US postcards....
I'll admit-your joy of philately is infectuous; my collection will be passed along eventually to my grandson. when the time comes, with the hope he will enjoy it throughout his life.

Another great video - I've been looking forward to the ducks! Seeing the hunters' signatures reminds me of the beautiful script from early postmaster pen cancellations.
One of my topical collections is the 1962 global anti-malaria campaign, mainly because they feature Minnesota's unofficial state bird: the mosquito!

Thank you for your videos! What a beautiful way to show and keep your duck collection! I collect butterfly stamps going back 30 years! I do not have any duck stamps but I could start ! 😊. I will pass on my collections. One granddaughter gets the American stamps and another granddaughter gets the World stamp collections. It’s a joy.

A wonderful collection. I like the concept of how you've numbered and sorted the stamps. Personally, I have a few collecting areas I'm currently working on. My favorite project, however, is my collection with at least one stamp from every country and autonomous region in the world. But my favorite stamp remains the first One Penny Black I bought a long time ago. For me, this stamp marks the beginning of the global passion for stamps, and therefore I have a strong connection to it.

It is a beautiful duck stamp collection and they are also beautifully presented. Thanks for showing them to us. I am still a relative beginner, and what I want to collect is still in flux. What I want to collect is rather growing than focusing! 😀Thematically I so far plan to collect wildlife, incl birds (already too much for a life time); fruit and vegetable stamps; and stamps I think is beautiful.

Love duck stamps I have quite a few that I bought at an estate auction. Could of had more but thinking I could get them cheaper I did not buy them all and the auctioneer offered them to another collector who was there. He snatched them up. 😢 I am a worldwide collector because I enjoy getting to know different countries and cultures. Enjoy your enthusiasm in your videos.

I have a mint, NH, perfect #2 duck stamp that is about to go to a dealer in a collection. If I don't get a fair price I plan to take the collection back and could offer you the #2. What I collect: "prairie schooners," ships and sailboats, and trains. Of those, I like ships (under sail) the best! I'm just starting my collection...but I do love duck stamps, and may start a collection of those as well.

My favorite stamp is usually the one I just got, just mounted or sometimes just saw in my collection and decided to study (or just stare at, LOL) I mostly collect US singles. Been at it 50 years. But have accumulated so much more. In past few years I got to a point where the only postage singles I still need are early issues -expensive! So, I am finding other parts of my accumulation that I like and organizing them into my collection.. I now have topicals -transportation, birds and animals etc. I also have a nice start to a US revenue collection and....Ducks!

One of my unique quiet collection topics are....Icelandic landscapes....I was intrigued by Iceland as a young boy, hearing all kinds of stories from our local populations of Icelandic-Canadians (volcanoes, glaciers, mountains, oceans, geothermal heating). As a young adult, I actually lived there for a while - travelled through much of the country. As an older adult, I love collecting these scenes on stamps. Every time I find one scene that I visited in my youth, the stamp image takes me immediately back to that time. I can hear, see, smell, feel everything about visiting that particular scene....as Iceland visit is such a unique place on earth!

I was born in Iceland ( AF base in '72 ). I focused on Icelandic stamps at the last stamp show I went to. Although I only collect older ones, I couldn't pass up the fuzzy wool sweater stamps. I recently realized that is one country where the used ones are generally worth more. I only lived there for a few years, but someday I hope to visit.

Maps on stamps. I have always loved maps and my first degree was in geography. Foxes and horses on stamps (I have an Instagram and Facebook account, Foxridge Philately). My wife’s passion was horses and fox hunting (think old English “tally ho!”).

Holy Cow! That is an amazing collection! Thanks for sharing...it really made me smile. I only have a couple duck stamps, but one has my late grandfather's signature, so it's extra special to me. Until I discovered that stamp, I was under the impression that no one in my entire extended family ever hunted. I probably was kept in the dark because I have loved animals more than people since I can remember, and my dad never thought bringing up how his father hunted would make my day. I love those stamps for all the reasons you cited, but mainly because they helped wildlife conservation.
I collect worldwide up until 1959 via Scott albums and US...but the US albums (other than rare/ expensive ones) are pretty much full up to 1980s...so I think I'll end up focusing more on BOB/revenue stamps. They are much more affordable and gorgeous in my opinion. I love your videos. You are an online philatelic superstar and winning a stamp from you would definitely give me extra, irreversible. smile lines:)

Great collection. I collect all US postage and revenues stamps with the exception of duck stamps. I collect used US duck stamps from their inception through 1965, which I consider to be the classic period of duck stamps. I collect postage and revenue stamps from the Republic of Panama as well. To be honest, though, my true love is postal history.
