very interested. ohh just FF lenses :-( If you ever do the same test for APS-C sensors it would be great and lower the budget too. an APS-C lens under 600$ shootout would be great.
As always, thanks for the video Chris! I'm getting a kick out seeing comments asking why a particular lens wasn't mentioned when it clearly does not meet the criteria you set at 0:31 in the video.
It's astonishing how stupid and or ignorant some people can be. I don't normally read an entire comments thread. However it's become quite compulsive reading, the tension builds as I await the next "WHY no NIKON !!!?!!" comment.
Dear Christopher, I have been watching your reviews for a long time. I very much appreciate your hard work and your personal style. The reviews you provide are of high quality and a pleasure to watch. This particular one here is the most useful one I have ever seen.
Always a pleasure to hear your reviews. In the past you have helped me decide on lens choice. So I am always eager to tune into your words of wisdom. Don't stop! I realised that there is much more when watching your videos. The way you portray your words is very interesting. And your images are amazing as well. All that is lacking is my funds to invest in more camera gear. Still, one must be happy with one has. Have a great day!
Great charts! I bought the Samyang 135 and I can confirm that this lens is incredible sharp. It's now my absolutely favorite lens. On my EOS 6D the manual focussing in Live View Mode is with Magic Lantern very easely. Focus Peaking with an sensitiv treshold and grayscal image "on" and you nail the focus in 80 - 90 % of your images.
Love the way you explain, not only due to the didactic aspect but for your nice tone voice that catches attention and helps concentration, far from the annoying "fast and furious" rhythm other people use. Thanks very much for sharing your talent with us.
If they are sharp on a full frame they will be as sharp or SHARPER on a APS censor since it's 25% smaller. Look at the 85mm 1.8 vs the 1.2 for an example
I only have 1 of my 3 making the list: Canon EF 70-200mm f/4 L. My other Canon lens 24-70mm f/4 L I'm not largely impressed with. It is good, but not great and for that kind of cash I could buy the Sigma. What the Canon 24-70mm has over the Sigma is 'IS' and that feature is worth some gold especially when I used the setup for video. If the Sigma version had 'IS', my Canon would be on Ebay right now.
Todd Kolb i’m willing to get a lens to fill up the gap ( 16mm-70mm) , and i was gonna get the f4 24-70 but i sow some reviews saying that the 24-105 is better , but i’m thinking about getting something with 2.8 , as my other lenses are f4 and 5.6 , any advice ?
Excellent. Me and my son had watched your videos so frequently that my wife and daughter recognizes your voice from the kitchen. She calls out load at meal time " enough of chris ..now come and eat or I am clearing the table " " :) . very good work . pls keep it rolling.
but you should try the 50mm f/1.8. it is cheap and provide much sharper and better bokehlicious. i have been shooting with this vocal length for a few months despite how i would step back every time because of my crop sensor. 24mm pancake suit me everywhere except 2meter tight space.
Zebra-lens manual got 2 meyers heavy lenses with awesome bokeh /contrasts And my Chinon mirror-lens 500m/m F16/F32 the donut maker..lol. oh all M42 love to play with those oldies(got 35 inn-total)
It felt good that at least I had the Canon EF 40mm f2.8 lens, it was delivered today :) Thanks Christopher your channel is great. Keep up the amazing work!!!
I always enjoy your comprehensive videos and look forward to them. This time however, I have a problem agreeing with your assessment of sharpness on most of your tested lenses. Unless my monitor is quitting on me, I do not see the sharpness as you do. In fact, when I watch other videos that are testing Nikon Lenses, they appear much sharper. Although I am relaxing my stand toward third party lenses, they still do not compare in quality as the first party manufacturers, and they do not last as long either. I have Canon equipment and I am quite pleased with the quality, versatility and ruggedness I have learned to expect. Again, thanks so much for your hard work. Tony
Chris I gotta say when I first entered the world of photography and videography it was a harsh grey area for me when it came to technical decisions. However I stuck with it as a self taught student because classes were just out of budget. I can't say that I'm a "professional" yet, but you have helped me with so many aspects of not just choosing a lens. But actually seeing how lenses work and how they work better and why. Keep up the great work! God bless!
Would love to see you switch to Nikon so I could enjoy lens reviews from the other side of the fence. Thanks for all the enjoyable content you have created. Much appreciated by me and many others.
Jayson Akeyla That's just a standard kit lens. It's good and versatile, I still use mine sometimes. But if you're doing pro work, you might wanna consider getting some primes or something faster.
Just found your channel and subscribed to it. Great channel and I'm glad I found it. I switched over from a Nikon DX (APS-C) system to the MFT system a couple of years ago choosing the Oly Omd Em1. I found your site researching legacy and/or later full frame and cropped factor lenses to adapt to my Oly. I've found your site to have very good information and appreciate your in-depth technical and professional approach.
Ed Wagoner Sr. , I doubt that there is the whole ten APS-C specific lenses worth the title in existence. Usually the full-frame lenses are of a better quality, so basically, if you shot APS-C, you need only a short focus distance lens to get your wide angle covered, and for the rest a full-frame glass will be a better investment.
Anyone have any suggestions? I like to do everyday city photography. Currently using the 80d with 50mm 1.8 STM Looking to upgrade to a samyang 1.4 or USM 1.4 Canon. Is it worth the extra $300-$400?
not really worth the upgrade. you could get a 35mm f2 or 28mm f2.8 to give you a wider focal length, which is best for street photography. or sigma 18-35mm f1.8, it's a little more, but well worth it.
in my opinion number one should go to the sigma and not the samyang, if you look at the picture in the middle samyang has extreme color fringing showing red color around the black bars while the sigma doesnt. still a great list and great video
I thought the same thing and was then like, wait ones at 1.2 the other's at 1.4. There appears to be close to zero chromatic aberration with the Sigma which is so damn impressive
Thanks for finally updating the list although this 1 was strickly for full frame cameras. I'm wondering if you could also do 1 for aps-c cameras too as not everyone use full frame cameras. I love using both full frame and aps-c cameras
This is a marvelous video, and I am glad to see the Canon 400mm f/5.6 L lens included here. I am hoping to add either the 50mm or 35mm Sigma Art lens to my collection soon for use on my Canon 5D Mark II. Have you ever thought of using Magic Lantern for your Canon DSLR's?
Alfonso Ignacio It's not misleading at all - it's 100% accurate. The fact that I only shoot Canon is mentioned in the description and right at the beginning of the video
Mr. Ignacio obviously doesn't have any idea what he is taking about. There is no "Canon FX". Honestly some people need to take a chill pill. I watched the entire video and you tested a fairly wide variety of lenses. Of the none Canon lenses my gut tells me most of them can be purchased with Nikon mounts, Olympus mounts, Sony mounts, etc. Which, ultimately means by the hater logic you should title the video "The 10 Sharpest Lenses I've Ever Tested: 2017 (Canon, Nikon, Sony, Olympus)." In reality, there are adapters that will allow you to use Canon lenses on a Sony, on a Nikon, not sure about the Olympus, but you get the idea. Sounds like someone lacks the capacity to listen to your fairly complete detailing of how and what you used to conduct your tests. But they obviously rather blame you than themselves.
Great comparison. Your price point is where I am currently at, when looking at my next prime. I think the 85mm Sigma might make it into my bag. Once again. Thanks for all you do!
Hello Chris. As always with your videos, this is a pleasure to watch. I am a big fan of Canon's 16-35mm f4L IS lens. Would you say this is the sharpest ultra-wide angle zoom you have tested? Keep up your sterling work and all the best!
I got back to your channel after along time and i have to say your channel is one of the best for photography an you cetainly made an impact on me for purchasing the right lens for me and my camera .. i tihnk you made a video once on apsc best lenses for the price . It would be great to do an updated video . And as always it was great.
Thanks for another great review! Your reviews are very clear and you have a very friendly voice. Even when i'm not interested in a lens, i watch the review anyway. It makes me feel so Zen and relaxed for some reason. 😄. I even watch your Canon lens reviews and i'm a Nikon owner! 😂. Your work is very apreciated! Keep up the good work👍.
Hello Christopher, such a cool review as usual. I've got a couple of the lenses you mention here but I'd like to know since you've tested lots of them if there are other Samyang lenses as sharp as the 135mm f/2. Thanks.
Great video as always. Can you please review the Tokina 100mm 2.8 macro? Although some have reviewed it and gave it great reviews as both Macro and Portrait BUT still I think it has to be reviewed by you since you are one of the best in lens review. Thanks.
I love my Sigma 35mm. It lives on my Canon and rents the space on occasion. The 14 mm Samyang is equally impressive for wide angle architectural shots and its 85 mm sibling is tack sharp as you've said. I've yet to decide on the newer XP series and will probably pick up the Sigma 85 mm along with Sigma 12-24mm because there are times I wish I didn't have to fumble with manual focusing. That said, I rarely use zoom lens anymore. My goto lens apart from aforementioned, are the Canon 100 mm Macro and Canon 135 mm. Great review as always Chris. I appreciate the fact that you take the time to objectively report the value of third party lens as they are getting really good and exceeding the more expensive Canon or Nikon lens. Cheers!
wow, nice number of reviewed lenses ... Could you review couple of Nikon lenses as well? Or could you do a lenses roundup for Sony E-mount cameras? Thanks!
Thanks for the reveal about the loss of sharpness on the sigma 85 when on aps-c as compared to the samyang. As my friends and I borrow each other's lenses, (I'm full frame and they're mostly aps-c) this will help factor into what lens we split price on. It's incredible they're both the same price too.
since the other lens you did a shoutout for and didn't make it to the list and the 40mm did make it to the list. Does it mean the 40mm is sharper corner to corner than the lenses you shout out for? Thanks for making this review.
Great video. Looking forward to more reviews. They have helped me make great choices on purchasing lens in the past. I have a canon T5i and a 7d mark 2 and I use sigma 1.8 18-35 and 1.8 50-100 for ministry and television production. But I am looking to update my T5i soon and maybe adding another lens. Do you think canon will update the 7d mark 2 soon? Blessings
hey chris! Will you do a video in which you cover your top 10 all time lenses? Not only sharpest, but with best rendition, color saturation, contrast etc. Just all time favorities. I would certainly watch that :D Cheers
I really appreciate your work, as I've probably said before you're one of the best camera lens reviewers on the internet. Anyway, can you do another video about best value lenses like the one you did in (probably) 2015? That would be really helpful :)
Christopher Frost Photography ok :) What about camera bodies comparison? Or, at least, an opinion on the one you have. That would be really helpful, especially now that you’re using Sony too!
Great to hear that! Thank you for keeping this channel up. This is in my opinion one of the best, if not the best photography channel on RUclips. May God bless you.
I admired your reviews before and current one is no different. You do it very unbiased and whoever's fan might be happy or annoyed, the truth is that if people pay attention to what you said, they can save a lot money when getting identical or much better result, when compare to strong ads out there. Samyang 85 1.2 is officially on my list now.Well done and keep up with your excellent reviews. Please make sure your remain yourself and not influenced by the seductive offers to sell your believes as I am sure that will push hard.
Hey Chris, I noticed you are getting very close to the 100,000 subscriber mark (and the silver play button that comes with it). Do you have any plans for a 100,000 subscriber special?
you are one of the most amazing RUclipsrs i ever seen. your videos are great and your way of testing is really great too. i wish you the best and i hope we could meet one day. thanks for your effort in photography world
Samyang is really making some beautiful lenses. I am very tempted to buy your #1 lens possibly down the track some, but for now I am more than happy using the Rokinon 24mm f/1.4 on my a7s for astro work Good review overall. Thanks heaps
Great review and channel. Big fan. It would be great if you upgrade to a higher megapixel full frame Cannon body. Perhaps even throw a full frame mirrorless and lenses into the mix.
Other than your list that you present Christopher. You process all the picture very very nice. Any suggestion? or Is it possible that you will release the video showing your picture processing in a software?
Thanks, very useful.I was just watching your other similar lens list videos and wondered when you were going to do another. Interesting to see the 40mm on this, but it is a good lens and for sharpness, I'd rather have it over the 50mm f/1.8 which I have. Looking forward to seeing your review of the Canon 100-400mm L II. I have seen some very sharp images of birds taken with it, but at its price I would expect it to be very sharp. At some point if you can get it, could you review the Laowa 24mm f/14 macro lens? I have never seen a lens like it and wondered what you would think of it. The dark f/14 aperture might be an issue. I haven't yet seen it available to buy yet though. If not, could you review some more macro lenses?
That little white Chapel/Church on the hill is in Wales, north of Cardigan, i took the same shot (but mine is a little sharper... just kidding). But what a lovely place it is - i can't remember the name of it? Nice reviews
hi chris, wondering why the tamron 60mm f2 didnt get a mention. you praised it sharpness wide open in your review. its a fantastic portrait/ macro for those aps-c and on a budget
thank you, i relay like your covering on samyang (i got my 135 after i saw your review and i realy like it), its is not easy to find reliable reviews to lenses and i apreciate that you review so mutch different lenses. I hope you will get your hands on the new anounced Tamron 70-200 2.8 G and if you do so i realy would like to see a comparison of focal length between the tamron 70-200 2.8 g2 and the canon 70-200 f4 IS. keep it going
I'm happy to see that the Canon EF 70-200mm f/4 L IS made it on to the list. I own it and got at a very good price on Black Friday last year. Very nice lens. I use it on my Canon eos 80D - which makes it work like a 112-320mm when factoring the 1.6 crop factor in.
150 Lenses? I think it is time to open up a shop with "Very sharp indeed" T-Shirts and "Very highly recommended"-Coffee cups ;)
pibyte I know right!!! I'm so keen on the T shirts 😂👌
pibyte Don't forget "Ridiculously
Sharp" hats
Oh that would be awesome! I'm not the type to buy tshirts with slogans on them like these, but this is awesome :D.
Or a sweater with words like "no chromatic aboration/vigneting" LOL
YES
"Sharper than a serpent's tooth" Never change Chris 😂 Great video as always!
very interested. ohh just FF lenses :-(
If you ever do the same test for APS-C sensors it would be great and lower the budget too. an APS-C lens under 600$ shootout would be great.
Any recommendations?
***** on the smaller budget the sigma 17-50 F2.8 the canon 10-18 STM and the tamron 70-300 should cover the entire range of focal lengths for you.
Ran Bar-Levi I have the sigma f2.8 and the tamron mentioned on my apsc and they are superb
DeeLuxist the only one I think I am missing is the 85mm F 1.8 for portraits. On my wish list for now.
hmm .. I got the sigma and the tamron, ... just wish there was a better alternative to the 10-18 STM (faster) for APSC ...
Glad to see some love for the 40mm pancake - it's a surprisingly good little lens.
Thanks! :-)
Nooo! Thank you sir!
Dude I've loved your channel for so long...such a humble authority on lenses and I can't appreciate your objectivity more. Seriously refreshing.
Digic peaking would be fantastic if you could tell what the hell you were shooting.
Love the way you explain, not only due to the didactic aspect but for your nice tone voice that catches attention and helps concentration, far from the annoying "fast and furious" rhythm other people use. Thanks very much for sharing your talent with us.
Can you make a list of sharpest lenses for APSC, please?
Slashplite A full frame lens
Fish Ed: Wrong
Sigma 18 35 f1.8 and sigma 50 100 f1.8
If they are sharp on a full frame they will be as sharp or SHARPER on a APS censor since it's 25% smaller. Look at the 85mm 1.8 vs the 1.2 for an example
No, no he can't.
Great review Chris, love the style of your reviews, very consistent, very easy to watch, keep up the excellent work my friend,
I just realized that 4 of my 6 lenses are on this list. Lucky me! :DD
If the Sigma version had 'IS', my Canon would be on Ebay right now.
i'm in the exact same position. Regretting not buying the 24-105 L IS USM instead
Todd Kolb why not the tamron ? I hear its a good choice in comparison to canon and sigma.
What a little brat.
Excellent. Me and my son had watched your videos so frequently that my wife and daughter recognizes your voice from the kitchen. She calls out load at meal time " enough of chris ..now come and eat or I am clearing the table " " :) . very good work . pls keep it rolling.
I never thought the 40mm would make it into this.
the pancake lens eh ?
the 24mm is really my favorite. it nice nice to carry it around !
just need to add a UV filter and it is perfect !
Reagan Huang true!... the only thing which makes me choose the 40mm is that it is in the vocal length
but you should try the 50mm f/1.8. it is cheap and provide much sharper and better bokehlicious. i have been shooting with this vocal length for a few months despite how i would step back every time because of my crop sensor.
24mm pancake suit me everywhere except 2meter tight space.
Reagan Huang i own both
I like both if them
but the 40 is just a pinch sharper
especially wide open
but I certainly do love the 50 too
jeez if only we live next door. we can shoot and talk about these results in real time.
Glad that you included the 40mm pancake. It's one of my go-to lens nowadays. Great compilation and reviews, Chris!
Nice video! Next up, the 10 most bokehlicious lenses? ;)
Meyer Gorlitz Orestor (15 aperture blades, M42)
Zebra-lens manual got 2 meyers heavy lenses with awesome bokeh /contrasts
And my Chinon mirror-lens 500m/m F16/F32 the donut maker..lol. oh all M42 love to play with those oldies(got 35 inn-total)
Great reviews Chris, concise straight to the point and the side by side info is invaluable , keep up the great work
Your voice is therapeutic!!!
Karthik D I agree you should guide meditation lol
haha
It drives me crazy, it’s so annoying
It felt good that at least I had the Canon EF 40mm f2.8 lens, it was delivered today :) Thanks Christopher your channel is great. Keep up the amazing work!!!
For me its very simple. I watch your reviews and buy the lens :-)
I always enjoy your comprehensive videos and look forward to them. This time however, I have a problem agreeing with your assessment of sharpness on most of your tested lenses. Unless my monitor is quitting on me, I do not see the sharpness as you do. In fact, when I watch other videos that are testing Nikon Lenses, they appear much sharper. great quick and efficient video. liked it a lot

Would love to see you switch to Nikon so I could enjoy lens reviews from the other side of the fence. Thanks for all the enjoyable content you have created. Much appreciated by me and many others.
glennskitchen agreed
Second version of canon 24-70 is worth mentioning although it costs more than 1000 pounds but it subtitutes several prime lenses.
Hey Chris, can you do a review of the Canon 24-105 f4L IS Mark II anytime soon?
I really like these videos. Maybe one day you will do a Top Ten APSC lens video. Cheers
Great Chris. I love your professional reviews! Please keep up the good work.
APS-C (Fuji) version would be awesome.
Good job, great that You keep us updated with all the good lenses that are around :)
Anyone have any suggestions? I like to do everyday city photography.
Currently using the 80d with 50mm 1.8 STM
Looking to upgrade to a samyang 1.4 or USM 1.4 Canon. Is it worth the extra $300-$400?
sigma18-35 best aps-c lens u can find
not really worth the upgrade. you could get a 35mm f2 or 28mm f2.8 to give you a wider focal length, which is best for street photography. or sigma 18-35mm f1.8, it's a little more, but well worth it.
Rainie Peters go for sigma 18-35 f1.8
Lovely list. Love your consistent reviews. Easy to compare lens to lens.
I like so much that little 40 pancake, she is always with me! :)
Jukalvez would you recommend buying it over a nifty fifty? Can you still get the same portrait bokeh shots with it as the 50?
I like your honesty Chris..! Great videos by the way!!!
in my opinion number one should go to the sigma and not the samyang, if you look at the picture in the middle samyang has extreme color fringing showing red color around the black bars while the sigma doesnt. still a great list and great video
Just noticed the same thing and was like.. wait go back
I thought the same thing and was then like, wait ones at 1.2 the other's at 1.4. There appears to be close to zero chromatic aberration with the Sigma which is so damn impressive
Thanks for finally updating the list although this 1 was strickly for full frame cameras.
I'm wondering if you could also do 1 for aps-c cameras too as not everyone use full frame cameras. I love using both full frame and aps-c cameras
one of the sharpest lens i've ever had is Canon 50mm f1.8
cant beat it at little over 100 USD
You're thoughts on the yongnuo 50mm f1. 8 mate?
This is a marvelous video, and I am glad to see the Canon 400mm f/5.6 L lens included here. I am hoping to add either the 50mm or 35mm Sigma Art lens to my collection soon for use on my Canon 5D Mark II. Have you ever thought of using Magic Lantern for your Canon DSLR's?
Misleading, title should've been "The 10 Sharpest Lenses I've Ever Tested: 2017 (Canon FX)"
Alfonso Ignacio It's not misleading at all - it's 100% accurate. The fact that I only shoot Canon is mentioned in the description and right at the beginning of the video
Don't see anything wrong with the title if he has only tested Canon Lenses.
Yes, 'Beatnick'...getting ugly on my comments section is definitely the way to persuade me!
I'm sorry "millennial"...
Which, ultimately means by the hater logic you should title the video "The 10 Sharpest Lenses I've Ever Tested: 2017 (Canon, Nikon, Sony, Olympus)."

Its the sharpest UWA ZOOM I've tested, yes
Some pretty stunning optics all round on this list, beautifully presented as usual....
Great Video Chris, this is one of my favorite videos about lenses.
Kind Regards from Mexico =)
Keep up the good work👍.
great video as usual!
really looking forward to the 100-400 review
Appreciate your effort and hard worknof making this video. You are the best camera lens reviewer on youtube. Thank you sir.
Awesome lens review brother Christopher and I am your fan!❤❤❤❤❤
Hello Christopher, such a cool review as usual. I've got a couple of the lenses you mention here but I'd like to know since you've tested lots of them if there are other Samyang lenses as sharp as the 135mm f/2. Thanks.
Wonderful video Chris, totally enjoyed it.. Liked and shared as always..
I always appreciate your reviews and your willingness to be public with your faith. Did you ever test the Tamron Sp 35mm 1.8 vc?
Nah, I chose just to cover the 45mm version. They perform in a very similar way, I hear
God bless you too Chris for the time and effort you put in your videos, they are very useful. Keep 'em coming!
Great video as always.
Can you please review the Tokina 100mm 2.8 macro?
Although some have reviewed it and gave it great reviews as both Macro and Portrait BUT still I think it has to be reviewed by you since you are one of the best in lens review.
Thanks.
I love your reviews m8!! King regards from Portugal!
Really enjoy your work Christopher! Thank you!
Great video. What lens did you use for the girl in the red jacket at 0:58?
Samyang XP 85mm f/1.2
Love all your videos! Great work!
Great video, please make 1 for the best low light photography lenses
Thanks!
Surprised the Samyang 100mm macro was not mentioned. Another great video :-)
Hi Chris, Great video! Which lens was used to shoot the picture at 0:56 secs of the video? Thanks!
Samyang 85mm f/1.2
Hi Chris, what lens are you using in the photo at 0.56? That is a lovely image.
since the other lens you did a shoutout for and didn't make it to the list and the 40mm did make it to the list.
Blessings
great list. the Tamron 85mm 1.8 is a very sharp lens also. great video good information. keep up the great work.!
Thank you Chris! This was just what I needed.
hey chris! Will you do a video in which you cover your top 10 all time lenses? Not only sharpest, but with best rendition, color saturation, contrast etc. Just all time favorities. I would certainly watch that :D Cheers
I also have a 6d so the results of your videos helping me a lot thank you very much!!
I really appreciate your work, as I've probably said before you're one of the best camera lens reviewers on the internet. Anyway, can you do another video about best value lenses like the one you did in (probably) 2015? That would be really helpful :)
Thanks! I'm not doing a new one yet, as my recommendations won't have changed very much to be honest
Christopher Frost Photography ok :) What about camera bodies comparison? Or, at least, an opinion on the one you have. That would be really helpful, especially now that you’re using Sony too!
A short, basic video is coming out soon
Great to hear that! Thank you for keeping this channel up. This is in my opinion one of the best, if not the best photography channel on RUclips. May God bless you.
0:56. Damn. Which lens did you use on this portrait!?
Samyang 85mm f/1.2
Nice vid. Have you tested the mitakon 50mm and 85mm ? Would love to see where they'd place in this list
Haven't tested them yet!
A similar video on sharpness of lenses on DX/APS-C sensors would be fantastic! Please do it!
I love that little 40mm pancake lens. I use it on my DSLR as well as my Canon M3 mirrorless with the converter to attach it.
Hey Chris, I noticed you are getting very close to the 100,000 subscriber mark (and the silver play button that comes with it). Do you have any plans for a 100,000 subscriber special?
I might do something :-)
you are one of the most amazing RUclipsrs i ever seen. your videos are great and your way of testing is really great too. i wish you the best and i hope we could meet one day. thanks for your effort in photography world
Thanks! Glad you enjoy the videos
Great vid as per usual. Keep up the good work.
Great review thanks
Samyang is really making some beautiful lenses. I am very tempted to buy your #1 lens possibly down the track some, but for now I am more than happy using the Rokinon 24mm f/1.4 on my a7s for astro work Good review overall. Thanks heaps
Great reviews! Thanks Chris.
very good video sir..
just wait for your review for tamron sp 85mm f/1.8
I really enjoy your test videos...and I'm a cranky old pro who started with Blads in the 70's...
This video is just as smooth as bokehs seen in it. Very informative recap and relaxing at the same time.
Fantastic list! Great work!
Check out the new Tamron 90 VC (F017). Some reviewers are saying it is sharper than the 100L for less money.
I was wondering if you could do a review on lens Adapters.
perfect as usual! Thank you for your work!
Great review and channel. Big fan. It would be great if you upgrade to a higher megapixel full frame Cannon body. Perhaps even throw a full frame mirrorless and lenses into the mix.
Money is an issue hehe
Other than your list that you present Christopher. You process all the picture very very nice. Any suggestion? or Is it possible that you will release the video showing your picture processing in a software?
Thanyakorn Unphanvas Thanks! I just tweak the colours and contrast, really
Hi,
love your reviews, thank you.
So, Canon 24-70 2.8 is less sharp than all of these lenses?
In the corners of its images, yes
Depends. If you already have one, the're e.g. no point in buying a 40mm/2.8 lens except if you can't take that big zoom with you
Thanks, very useful.I was just watching your other similar lens list videos and wondered when you were going to do another.
I wouldn't mind taking a look at it. I think they're trying to figure out the best way to make it easier to get light onto your subjects
That little white Chapel/Church on the hill is in Wales, north of Cardigan, i took the same shot (but mine is a little sharper... just kidding). But what a lovely place it is - i can't remember the name of it? Nice reviews
Mwnt. For the past two years I've been preaching there
I would like to see a review of the Samyang 35mm f1.2 (manual focus).
What about videos for every camera mount system you own?
hi chris, wondering why the tamron 60mm f2 didnt get a mention. you praised it sharpness wide open in your review. its a fantastic portrait/ macro for those aps-c and on a budget
It is very sharp - it's just that these are a little sharper. Also, this is a video about lenses that can also fit full-frame
thank you,
i relay like your covering on samyang (i got my 135 after i saw your review and i realy like it), its is not easy to find reliable reviews to lenses and i apreciate that you review so mutch different lenses.
