Most air lines don’t have a weight limit on carryons! They just need to be a certain size (this is a perfect size) and you have to be able to fit it in your overhead on your own!
@@Jakeanbake69in Australia they do - 7kg in total for carry-on. So the back pack in this video would have to be checked at the gate if it was over. And yes, I have seen them weighing carry-ons at Australian airports, and had mine weighed recently.

Airlines in Europe, Australia and Asia (basically anywhere but the North America) have been actively checking carryon weight and they do have weight limits varying from 7 kg to 10 kg, and they have been quite strict on that. Recently the US brought up similar regulations as well joining the rest of the world (unfortunately) it will be world wide now. I have heard the same thing. Unfortunately I feel like it's just another way for airlines to get more money. I wonder how it makes sense. If every flyer has the opportunity to bring and pay for a 50lbs checked bag, then I'd assume there is plenty of spare weight for those who don't bring a 50 lbs bag and just have a slightly weighted carry on. It just doesn't make sense to take that option away. Crazy that you buy the ticket, yet you need to pay for your seat and a bag. Grrrrr
@amystephenson2723 it is. My sister is a pilot, I have 4 engineers degrees I can assure you this has nothing to do with weight related safety concerns.

I did two weeks in a backpack half this size by doing something like that. Just packed a small amount of liquid detergent in a small container (the dry detergent strips would also work very well with less weight and space) and using hotel sinks to wash and chairs, desks, radiators, etc., to dry.
@@DarkMuj honestly, when I factor in cost savings of luggage plus the ease of portability and the fact that less stuff equals less chance of my stuff being lost or stolen, not at all.
