- I’ve been asked to make more jewellery videos, so here’s one from ‘Antiques On High’ in Sidmouth, Devon, England - Meet Richard, one of the dealers in Sidmouth. Richard also has jewellery cabinets in the other Antiques On High branches (Bowness, Taunton and Oxford)
Take a look at some shockingly cheap, value for money silver pieces…amd do t forget they’re environmentally friendly !
To contact Richard and see where your nearest Antiques On High branch is visit ‘Antiques on High’ (Oxford, Bowness, Sidmouth and Taunton) www.antiquesonhigh.co.uk
Do you have any interesting antiques, vintage items to feature here on my channel?
Get in touch with me! dk.harper@yahoo.co.uk

I agree you should do more antique jewellery videos. Antique necklaces and pendants are one of my favourite things I collect!
Will do!!
I love silver. Thanks for posting! I like the idea for the videos.
More to come!
Beautiful pieces ❤️
Thank you for this video, it was very informative. I am due to go to Oxford at the end of the month and I hope to seek out the antique shop you often feature in your videos. So thank you!!
My pleasure, thank you. enjoy your visit and say hello to Vincent and Lesley!
Interesting stuff, do more watch videos please 😊
More to come!
Is Richard married? (LOL) His wife must get some GOOD Christmas presents! 07:05 A Rocky Horror fan would love that necklace - it's made of neck bolts! Would have loved a clear look at the marks on that Guillochè pendant too, but there's a limit to phone cameras. To get around it, you can shoot through a loupe (if you're crazy enough) or a rug/stamp magnifier. The latter folds out into its own stand and gives you a nice fixed focal distance that's the bee's knees for shooting jewelry marks.
Richard will think this is a proposal!!
@@DavidHarperAntiquesTV I have a hunch his wife might object to a threesome! Or his husband?
Cleaning silver is a bit of a pain though. I have a rhodium plated brooch/pendant with pearls from the 60s. I like that I don't have to polish it. What about Yemeni silver bangles? I have a few. I don't think the silver is pure as sterling.
Yes, you’re right, it won’t be as pure. Probably 750 or 800 parts out of 1000, as apposed to British silver at 925
I have a North African bangle that's so heavy I can't always even wear it. My guess would be about 50-60% silver on that one. No idea of yours; finenesses varied all over the map.
Did you ever explain why it's so cheap? I think I missed it!
I think it was more of a question to the viewer…it seems bonkers that it is so cheap!
