I relate so much with what you were saying. As moms, I feel like we get so consumed by our children and our house that we forget to take time for ourselves to deep dive into Him and His word. I've been trying to be intentional about reading at least some in the morning before I start my day, and it's been helpful. Keep going, girl. It's going to be hard to start distancing from those influential friends, but it will better your walk with the Lord. Stay strong.
Also, I love chili too. Eat it pretty much every day lol.

I know it's the one thing that i've been dreading is starting to create that space. I try to read in the morning and before I go to bed, since I cant read that much in the morning since its pretty loud after the kids wake up haha

Little steps lead to improvement that makes a change. There is a movement happening and I do feel like it is for the better. I might have started for content but now I think genuinely, we all want the simple life. We want something that fulfills us in our souls. Praying for you and your family. Things are changing even if it is the small things.

Another mom in the same boat! It's so hard to live out faith when the world pulls you in ever direction. It pays to be intentional. Nobody's perfect but that's where Jesus comes in. Praying for your family. We are trying to do the same thing here.

Baptist Christian stay at home mom here too 🙋🏻‍♀️ This is the best decision you could have made, once saved always saved. But God will rebuke and correct us once we are his child if we live a life without faith and in disobedience. Making this choice pleases Him and he will bless you and your family. Your 4 boys will thank you for raising them up this way, God promises that if we raise up our children in the word, they will not depart from it. Have faith God’s promises, stay vigilant with your children, submit and love your husband, and God will take care of the rest. I’ve seen it in my life

Praying for you as you seek to walk in faithful obedience to the Lord!! As you draw near to him he will draw near to you! I’m a mom of 4, and I’ve always found your videos very relatable 🫶🏼
Also I make a similar corn bread. I always have to cook it longer than the box says, because the creamed corn makes it more liquidy.

Hey girl, I feel you! I'm an avid RUclips-watcher but I *never* comment on RUclips videos. This video is so incredibly relatable. You expressed so many thoughts I have often about all my roles in life: as a mama to a one-year-old little boy, as a team leader in my full-time job, as a wife who is absolute crap at "homemaking," and as a very imperfect Christian. But I think one misconception that we beat ourselves up over is that following Jesus means we have to present to others as perfection. He calls us as we are and wants us no matter what. I am deeply inspired by a handful of Christian content creators who are blessed to live lives that allow them to put homemaking and mothering first, but sometimes it's not possible every single moment of every day, even for them (and I think we need a reminder of that).
You speaking up and wanting to shift your life and use your platform in a kingdom-serving way speaks volumes about who you are (so please don't worry about the failed sourdough next time it happens 😅), you're making such a difference and your sentiments are so valid and real, like your content always has been!

So interesting that you posted about this. I am also reconnecting to my spirituality and doing the work to get the messages. I also want my kids to grow up that way. Also I think it’s normal to have periods in life where we disconnect. But eventually it comes back at us and we feel imbalanced. Give yourself some grace, you birthed four beautiful humans. You have a whole lifetime to do the work ❤

I really appreciate your vulnerability in talking about your faith and how you’ve been struggling in motherhood lately. I’m right there with you. My little dude has been sick but thankfully much better now! But I have such a strong desire to want to raise him in church because I was raised having that community and it was our life. Since getting married and now having a child, it’s been almost nonexistent. Just the busyness of life and I have anxiety about taking him to church because he is only one and may cause disruption in the service. I hope to eventually get there again cause it’s so important to me. You’re a good mom and inspire me so much! I’m praying for you and your family! God bless you all!

im glad to hear your little one is feeling better. It's the worst seeing them sick :( but i'm in the same boat! i've been taking landon to church but we've been hesitant to go as a family because I know Darin will not stay in the nursery or sunday school. We all want to go together. Trying to navigate that has been difficult. Does your church have a nursery for the babies? Thank you for the sweet comment, and I will keep your dilemma in my prayers!

@@MadelieneVanMarter Thank you so much for your prayers! I’d say it is challenging for sure to attend as a family. I have been attending a local church near our home but I haven’t been consistent enough honestly to really get to know anyone. So leaving my son in nursery makes me nervous. But I need to try my best to get to know them and put myself out there. I know as my son gets older he’ll appreciate getting to know the other kids. And learn so much just in that setting about the Lord. It takes doing I guess instead of just hoping lol. Baby steps ☺️

I understand that! I'd feel the same way too. I saw this one family sitting in front of me at church and they had a 14 month old who they kept with them. they brought little toys and such to keep him busy and when he would fuss they would stand off to the side with him. I'm not sure if that would be helpful but I thought id share just in case!

Hey Tash! I just read your comment about wanting to go to church but it's so hard with little ones (I'm right there with you) anyway my church does a live service on RUclips every Sunday at 10:30am, the pastor is amazing and so relatable, so check it out if you're interested! The RUclips channel is King Street community church- you can enjoy from the comfort of your couch❤

I heard a saying before about taking little ones to church. "If the church isn't crying, it's dying". If anyone gives you any flack about them being loud, just ask them what they think Heaven will be like. Will it be as quiet as you think it should be?

Maddy! I just want to give you the biggest hug! Praise God for the gift of your awareness to reflect on your faith journey in an honest way. What a grace to see it for what it is and to feel the Holy Spirit highlighting where Christ is inviting you to go with Him! We all need God’s mercy every moment of every day in order to know and do His Will. As your sister in Christ, I’m so proud of you for not listening to the lies of the enemy and sharing your love for Our Lord. ❤ Being a wife and a mother are vocations that sanctify us and if they are meant to sanctify us, that means that we are in need of it! I think it’s clear that you have many women encouraging you and praying for you, especially in this moment of vulnerability. Watching you and Kevin read scripture in front of the boys was such a precious moment to witness as your viewers. That’s one of the best things you guys can do for them! There’s a quote that says “There’s nothing more extraordinary than an ordinary man and an ordinary woman and their ordinary family”. I think of it often when I watch your videos. 😊
I am a Christian as well and I have been loving the ministry Blessed is She. They have an app with so much content that’s aesthetic and rich in the Word. Their focus is on prayer and community and encourage everyone to have Blessed Brunches with local women (who doesn’t love brunch 😂). Keep it up, sister. You’re doing so so well! 🤗

We’re on the same road sister ❤️ this is exactly what I was feeling and desiring end of the year. I wasn’t raised religious at all but here in Germany you have practice in school an you go to church occasionally like christmas and Easter. The last years I tried a lot of new age spiritually and I always had a calling to connect with spirit... since last summer I started to come back more and more to God and his love... you brought the topic back in my life, bc you said smth small in one of your vlogs and it was a reminder/awakening for my heart. Thank you! I would love to connect and go this road together with like minded young mothers even though I’m in Germany. I feel connected to you (all). Love ❤️

I think it’s amazing that you were raised the way you said you were and you still cared to make the changes within yourself. Good for you momma. I also can totally sympathize with things looking okay on the outside (when it comes to parenting) and really your having a tough time. This too shall pass. You got this girl. I can’t even imagine being a momma to 4 kiddos their age. No matter what, you’re a rockstar. That’s tough. I have a 9 year old and a 3 week old. And I can’t imagine having any other kiddos that are under 6 while having a baby 😅

    Hi! 🌸
The Holy spirit is always with you and the conviction is real. I am so glad your hearing him. I am the same way I've strayed away from my bible reading and slacking on my devotions. It's just good to know I am not alone. GOD is always there for us and he will always be there. He's always waiting for us to turn to him. I am also a Baptist Bible believing Christian. You are doing an awsome job with raising your boys. I have 1 son who is 15 months and me and my husband are expecting our 2nd child. Praise the Lord. Your videos motivate me. I always say if Maddy can do it then so can I! Haha ❤ I'll be praying for you and your family and your walk with God. May he guide you throughout this year. 🙏🏽

Dear Meddy. I never commented before but I have been following you for a while. (Greetings from Europe, Hungary 😊) I am also a young mom, only 2 little children yet but struggling.. I appreciate your honesty about your faith and I want to encourage you to keep seeking God, you will find rest and you will change for the best! I am happy you have this attitude, God is working in your heart and you will bear eternal fruits for His Kingdom.
I fail many times too but God has mercy and sees our heart's intention. Don't forget that Jesus came for the imperfect people to save them. He knows we all fall and gives us a way out. Just rely on Him. :)
You gave me so much inspiration, thank you! Praying for you 🙏

Thank you so much for sharing your heart and being so vulnerable! You remind me a lot of myself. There was a point in my life when i was in a similar place. I cant tell you how much God has done in my life! (Just as a example; i grew up with an alcoholic mother and ended up unintentionally marrying a man who was an alcoholic as well. Through prayer God delivered me of that by changing who my husband is and he has been sober 5 years now. And has overall been radically transformed by the Holy Spirit!) Ill be praying for you. surround yourself with other believers. Pray for a mentor! There is a book by Sally Clarkson called desperate that i read recently and helped me a lot with that overwhelming feeling of being a mother. (I have 5 kids-4 of them being boys as well) Fast and Pray! So much vice is taken away through this. Seriously dont underestimate the power of prayer! I love your channel ❤️ so glad to hear this!
