A major pet peeve I had with the game was Bendy himself. I was hoping he'd be more prevalent or at least more expressive, but he just felt like a cookie-cutter monster pursuer. He'd pop up every now and then, and you'd have to hide from him, that's it. Dude was about as complex as the Monsters in Amnesia, and at least those guys had an interesting backstory. I kinda wished Bendy acted cartoony to contrast with his disfigured appearance.
honestly that amount of contrast would add character and probably a deeper understanding of his character alone rather than being some monster interchangeable with a PP monster I can see him acting animalistic [in the way that ravens are] but also trying to conform to a cartoonish identity, mayhaps a mild bubbling internal crisis, which would explain why he's so aggressive
His backstory is bland and answers the few questions the game bothered to ask. You know what would be cool? Stealth sections. You have to cross a few rooms every once in a while he’s just *in* There’s no game mechanic to just get rid of him. You just have to get through and not be seen. Most horror games have something like that. You have to avoid an enemy and get across. Bendy has in game sections like that, but they’re with weaker, less intimidating enemies. The fucking MAIN ANTAGONIST does nothing in the game! Nothing at all! He’s not scary. He’s just annoying. The player is only avoiding him because they don’t want to die and lose progress. And yes, your point about him “acting cartoony” is 100% right. He walks like a person..? And his entire backstory is that he has no soul, no thoughts, no nothing. So why does he move like a human? The only thing i enjoy about him is how he looks. The designs of this game are very pretty and the little details (like twitching, for instance) are cool. I just wish they did more with the animation.

Mike mood is the irl Joey Drew he took the Meatly’s ideas and claimed it as his own, fired a fuck ton of employees, left the company and left it in a economical crisis, TheMeatly now has to deal with a game that was supposed to come out 3 years ago, and is now left with little to no devs. Mike screwed it over, literally becoming the ingame antagonist Joey Drew. dude rewatching gameplay makes me realize this game is honestly really bland, it was definitely good during the whole indie horror craze but nowadays its just plain. similar to hello neighbor and even fnaf edit: hey! sorta late but i thought i'd explain what i meant by fnaf getting stale what i mean is for the most part, the games follow the same formula (security breach being seperate) and each one's lore is honestly super confusing and even moreso to try and put it together, along with that the later installments have been rather lackluster (ESPECIALLY security breach) and overall its getting boring, the lore still isnt making any sense and honestly this is one of the very few series that i believe is time to put down and leave it in the past, im not really sure what else people can make of it from here, yknow? it just feels bland with characters, plot and gameplay can often be tedious depending what you're doing, so that's basically my explanation and i hope it helps make more sense to you :)) also if you like the series good for you!! im glad you're able to find the good in something i cant, you enjoy what you enjoy and i'll leave ya to it, have fun with what you got stranger
I get the hello neighbor part, looks the exact same, but FNaFs Art style has definitly changed over the years, Scotts Art style is still the best for me, i just really love it for some reason, and even after the rights for the franchise were given to Steel Wool, it still looks good, so i disagree there, sorry
@@Uvulo oh nono, thats fine and i totally get where you're coming from for me i feel like fnaf as a franchise has gotten stale, but your opinion is completely valid :))
I absolutely adore this game's concept and aesthetic, but the gameplay was a nightmare at times. Just running back and forth and back again. Also, I wish they had taken a different approach with the ending, as the whole loop thing felt really hamfisted to me. The rest of the story seemed to be taken at face value, so why was the ending so... abstract?
Even though the gameplay isn't the most riveting, my play through of the game was still awesome. I'm a big story person, and by that I mean I look at every corner, flyer and trashcan in the game. And there is so many little details that really helped with the world building! The story of BATIM is still one of my favorites from any game to this day, and actually got me into researching more about the 1930s-40s in America! It also, with the help of Cuphead, helped me explore the world of rubber hose style art! So yes, some of the devs suck, and no theres isn't a lot of game play, but I still really love this game!
This game literaly made me who i am today and i am still a really big fan of it, even tho the end indeed kinda sucked, and it was sad to see the devs become assholes, this game is literaly the phrase, "You don't have to like the developers of a game just to like the game itself."
Yeah, that’s what I think about Poppy Playtime, but my issue with that is, there some good people who are working on that game, it’s just that the history of EnchantedMob is coming back to haunt them and for those who are working on the game who had no involvement in what happened are getting dragged down with them.
The aesthetic is interesting and I feel like chapter 1 & 2 were scary but it got weird when it became underground disneyland and since when did our character have voice acting?

Personally I like bendy for its story how it looks and the lore but the game it's self needs a bit more inprovement and they need to give the characters in it more personality for example a character with personality is Sammy I think they should do that with all the other characters.
Kwote's comments throughout all his videos/streams always make me so happy when he posts- I also never played BATIM and watching my now favorite streamer play it made it enjoyable to watch rather than terrified for every jumpscare XD

Tf you mean? I still love this game
I still love this game, but yeah didn't really age that well.
I was so into the fandom on this game. I never even got to play it, i just loved the characters and story so much. True ogs will remember 'quest for the ink machine' and even bigger losers were probably in the amino. 😭
dude it sucks that the quest for the ink machine shit never got finished, that along w the creator being problematic :(
The true ones remember the semiliterate rps in the BATIM amino
I agree with the title. While Bendy and The Ink Machine was popular in it's time, there's been a lot of horror games that have surpassed it's popularity. Plus with the new game taking a long time to come out, it has been hung dry. And I know I thing or too about being hung dry.
i think that it might be kinda cool to see you play “Call of Cthulhu” i feel like it would be a nice playthrough for you, especially if you’ve been enjoying horror games :)
also as usual very good video! you have a real talent for making any game fun to watch :D
Call of Cthulhu is one my favorites. I totally agree with you, --I think that'd be an interesting playthrough.
"today i played all of bendy and the ink machine because bendy and the ink machine did not age "i finally played bendy and the ink machine" i say because "bendy and the ink machine did not age well"" may not age well because "today i played all of bendy and the ink machine because bendy and the ink machine did not age "i finally played bendy and the ink machine" i say because "bendy and the ink machine did not age well"" has only just been said.

I have a 5 year fixation with this game and I cannot and refuse to stop being obsessed with this. I got so excited when I saw this in my notifications
Edit: To clear up the financial crisis with the game it’s all Mike Mood. It’s honestly impressively upsetting
ME TOO ME TOO i literally cant stop fixating on it its been years
Yeah I still love this game. Even if the devs shouldn’t be supported I still want to buy the next game because it just sounds like the ideal horror game in 2022.
@@hdanimatesorsomething better than Poppy Playtime probably

The funny part about this game is that the company that developed Bendy is following the same demise of Joey Drew Studios. Kinda ironic
When Kwite titles the video that *enter blank name here* did not aged well, you will know that Kwite will make a series out of it

Despite how things have turned out for this game, it’s still one of my favorite horror games and also my first one. I even dressed up as Sammy Lawrence for Comic Con one year, but I’m still sad that the studio behind the game is basically a real version of Joey Drew Studios.
11:52 Oh my God. It is me. I have appeared in a highlight video. First graduation and now this. Life is good man.
dude rewatching gameplay makes me realize this game is honestly really bland, it was definitely good during the whole indie horror craze but nowadays its just plain. similar to hello neighbor and even fnaf
edit: hey! sorta late but i thought i'd explain what i meant by fnaf getting stale
what i mean is for the most part, the games follow the same formula (security breach being seperate) and each one's lore is honestly super confusing and even moreso to try and put it together, along with that the later installments have been rather lackluster (ESPECIALLY security breach) and overall its getting boring, the lore still isnt making any sense and honestly this is one of the very few series that i believe is time to put down and leave it in the past, im not really sure what else people can make of it from here, yknow?
it just feels bland with characters, plot and gameplay can often be tedious depending what you're doing, so that's basically my explanation and i hope it helps make more sense to you :))
also if you like the series good for you!! im glad you're able to find the good in something i cant, you enjoy what you enjoy and i'll leave ya to it, have fun with what you got stranger
I get the hello neighbor part, looks the exact same, but FNaFs Art style has definitly changed over the years, Scotts Art style is still the best for me, i just really love it for some reason, and even after the rights for the franchise were given to Steel Wool, it still looks good, so i disagree there, sorry
@@Uvulo oh nono, thats fine and i totally get where you're coming from
for me i feel like fnaf as a franchise has gotten stale, but your opinion is completely valid :))
And then you don’t even elaborate further.
@@grimmed_ I respect that! It's really nice to still see people like you! Respecting other opinions, thank you for understanding :D
If fnaf's gotten stale then it makes sense why people were trying to find arg stuff they way they were
Is nobody gonna talk about how Kwite reacted when he first saw Sammy Lawrence or??

I absolutely adore this game's concept and aesthetic, but the gameplay was a nightmare at times. Just running back and forth and back again.
Also, I wish they had taken a different approach with the ending, as the whole loop thing felt really hamfisted to me. The rest of the story seemed to be taken at face value, so why was the ending so... abstract?
maybe they just didnt have a ending planned and came up with that on the last minute
18:29 honestly expected him to say,
"Oh no my arms...their broken"
I wish I was there. Also can we give props he did this in one sitting good job keep up the good work
Even though the gameplay isn't the most riveting, my play through of the game was still awesome.
This aged like milk
I forgot this game was a thing💀
20:12 I’m at Disney world rn, that do be true tho
This game literaly made me who i am today and i am still a really big fan of it, even tho the end indeed kinda sucked, and it was sad to see the devs become assholes, this game is literaly the phrase, "You don't have to like the developers of a game just to like the game itself."
Yeah, that’s what I think about Poppy Playtime, but my issue with that is, there some good people who are working on that game, it’s just that the history of EnchantedMob is coming back to haunt them and for those who are working on the game who had no involvement in what happened are getting dragged down with them.
I think so too.
@@katylepetsos7512 Yeah! my opinion on Poppy Playtime is the same as this one too
Bendy and the dark REVIVAL: hello there.

Since the first chapter 💀
*leave it to kwite to pick up games after the popularity has plunged and still drag in views faster than my mother abandoned me*

I will forever have a soft spot for this game, the creators are..something and the chapters can get boring but it was addicting to younger me

the meatly as far as i know hasnt done everything, mike turned into joey drew though... i really like the games concept as well :C
im ngl tho the ink sounded kinda good that shit was probably scrumdiddlyumptious if he was swallowing it with that much willpower
Personally I like bendy for its story how it looks and the lore but the game it's self needs a bit more inprovement and they need to give the characters in it more personality for example a character with personality is Sammy I think they should do that with all the other characters.
This is my favorite horror game of all time. I know it has been kinda dying out for a while, but I will still stand with it until the end.
2:05 I love how it gradually turned into an insult

honestly there are some horror games that seem to be way more about money than passion. this and poppy playtime are some examples. it just rubs me the wrong way idk why
This game was made with passion, are you high?
@@xxxmcnuggwtsxxx9859 At first. But the creators got _very_ greedy at the end. Rushed levels, poor marketing decisions, work abuse, etc. all for the goal of free money.
@@xxxmcnuggwtsxxx9859 yeah, you're probably right. it just feels weird that these strange marketable monsters are supposed to be from horror games, and yet they're used almost exclusively in toys and weird children's videos. I actually started re-watching this game because Poppys playtime reminded me of it. and I forgot how original it was for its time and how much I enjoyed it.
Poppy Playtime, a controversial game, reminded you of BaTIM, another controversial game. Probably a coincidence but one that I find hysterical.
@@The_True_Mx_Pink How is Bendy controversial?
@@xxxmcnuggwtsxxx9859 Worker abuse. A lot of worker abuse.
@@The_True_Mx_Pink well it's because Poppy playtime it's just a carbon copy of Bendy the ink machine to me. A retired animator going back to his Studio and getting stuck in it. A retired worker going back to the factory and getting stuck in it. Mommy long legs was like Alice. And then they did the elevator scene but instead it was just a train. But also I don't think Bendy specifically had any controversy. I think it was the games after bendy that got controversy
@@ScrungoBalungo Didn't really think about all those similarities before. Huh.
And Bendy absolutely had controversies before it ended. Levels were being rushed, obvious and gamebreaking bugs weren't being fixed, the worker abuse, and how they marketed more towards toys than the actual game. Things only got worse after the game released, though, once the specifics came to light.

I speedrun this game and currently have Console WR and I could not agree more. This game (with all the bugs and glitches) has really not aged well in both its story and gameplay.
