Hello friends,
Our recent Srinagar tour was absolutely rejuvenating & we not only fell in love with Kashmir,but rediscovered the true meanings of love other than romance.
Love is patient,love is kind,it does not envy,it does not boast,it is not proud. Neither does it dishonour others,nor does it keep record of wrongs. It always protects,it always hopes.
The mother nature taught us that love is unconditional,not judgemental. It is without agenda,it is eternal & free.
In our favourite Dal lake,we could not resist playing the famous 1964 movie "Kashmir ki Kali" song,filmed on the flamboyant-beautiful pair of Shammi Kapoor & Sharmila Tagore,"kisi na kisi se, kabhi na kabhi,kahi na kahi dil lagana padega" on harmonica,aligning our hearts with that of the Almighty in presence of the rising sun & Shankaracharya temple.
Friends,I was amazed to discover that this film is loosely based on the American movie "Come September" of 1961.To add to my surprise "Mere Sanam"1965,"Ek baar kaho"1980 & a Tamil movie "Anbe Vaa"1966 were also based on Come September.
Come September was a romantic comedy starring Rock Hudson,Gina Lolobrigida,Sandra Dee & Bobby Darin.(Sandra & Bobby fell in love on the sets & eventually married) Bobby Darin composed its famous theme song which was played by Billy Vaughn & his orchestra.
Come September was filmed at Villa Guglielmina,now known as Eden Grand Palace hotel in Santa Margherita Portofino,Italy.
Come september can best be described as a temporal subjunctive preposition in english language,giving hopes that the coming of September will drive away the gloom.

This is a solo song,but we made it a soulful duet,Sujata playing the harmonica pieces & me,the lead song.
