Dell PowerEdge T440 CPU XeonSilver

Upgraded the CPU on a Dell PowerEdge T440 from a Bronce Xeon to a Silver.
This server is on premises at a customer site, it’s the main server for the accounting department, hosting Quickbooks Enterprise for 8 users. Users are starting to complain about slownees and freezing in their quickbooks usage. After monitoring the server for a couple of days we noticed the CPU was presegin high spikes of usage for longer periods of time, and the RAM usage when the accounting department connected was showing a 90% usage.
We decided to upgrade the CPU to a Silver and to double the RAM. Customers asked if it was time to upgrade to a new server since they upgraded their version of quickbooks to 2024. We offered the option to upgrade the components since these servers are pretty good and it can handle way more loads with the proper hardware setup.
After the upgrade the users noticed the performance improvement and even better there was no freezing anymore.
Customer saved thousands of dollars from buying a new server, by just upgrading to the correct CPU and the RAM.
