This is what singing is all about. soothing and not shouty, very natural. only true artistically sensible persons can appreciate her kind of voice. Other idol contestans are pushing way too far and it sounds forced and too desperate. How I wish simon was there still, I know that He will definitely addmire THIA.
she is going to be a mammoth star in the Phillipines. A lot of their pop stars now are people with Filipino roots who grew up in the US, and she slays all of them.

Those people who think she too boring are mindless pop loving robots. They find anyone who can sing a good song beautifully and slowly to be boring, and they find those those who sing mindless, autotuned, "catchy," songs while dancing suggestively to be good.
They don't understand what true singing is about.

What a lovely voice! She gained more fans being in idol. Although voted out sooner that she should have been, I am pretty sure more people got to know her. I didn't know her before AI although she once appeared in another talent show. I am looking forward for her cd.

I love the contestants this year, but my top 2 girls that night were haley and Thia. Pia was in my 3rd spot. I put Thia up in my top 2 because I feel like she had a really beautiful moment on stage, and there was something there.

Thia also has a BIG voice......And can belt with the best of them on this IDOL season.
It's almost as if she was deliberately holding back.
This season is very ODD and much of it seems ORCHESTRATED. Thia was the only one being scolded by the "VOCAL COACH FROM HELL"

Maybe after the IDOL tour is over, SUPER PRODUCER David Foster will pick her up.
He produces CHARICE and she and Charice are friends.
Plus, she was already on a David Foster Talent show and won..And..Am IDOL alum..Ruben Studdard, Clay Aiken and Katherine McPhee all work with David Foster.
THIA is better than all of this year's contestants as far as her vocal tone......I don't think IDOL wanted her to win and was told early on that she wouldn't.

I thought that might be the case many weeks ago. When I read comments on RUclips about CHARICE, you know that will probably be a huge factor in voting.
That's terrible, but I expected that.
What I can't understand is how she can seemingly NOT try to WOW anyone when she clearly has done so in so many videos prior to IDOL .And the removal of MANY of her STANDOUT PRE-IDOL Performances.
Almost as if she deliberately did not try to win.
I don't believe AM IDOL.
I think it was a set-up.
