Katherine definitely blew up the book bound planner, journal world. I had my lineup ready to go with Hobonichi, and now I'm not sure. I know for sure I want a Cousin. I consistently use it for my devotional and scripture study. Definitely take it slow. Remember, it's just planning. Don't stress. Stay blessed.

I feel you on that sentiment. I’ve landed on the 5-year Hobonichi for my bible study. But I do need a smaller planner for church work that is not in my regular Cousin. Muddling the two gets things lost rather often. Maybe the A6 Day free version?…..

How do you break up your bible study within your Cousin? I have a cousin for my catch-all and Faith. But i am still figuring out the different sections

@@SapphirasMama Hello. I use the monthly section for big life events that need deep prayer, reflection. Something like medical issues for myself or loved ones. The weekly section is for the daily scripture. The devotional I use gives the scripture of the day, and then each devotional contains offer reference scriptures. The Dailies are where I write down any notes, anything that stood out in the devotional. I hope that helps.

I will admit that I thought I had my 2023 planners all set up... then it just got blown out of the water with Katherine's announcements. I was going to pass, but saw the flip through, and was sold. Now to see how I will use the planners I ordered. :P

I have spent so much time feeling wrecked over what to buy. But I remembered, they're books. I am not a planner hopper and like to use just one book (One Book to Rule them All) and am going back into a Cousin next year. It fits everything in my life (I work full time in a school, I am going back to school myself, tracking health and wellness, my daily to-do's, journaling and memory keeping. It really is my happy place. I tried the Weeks and felt squeezed out so A5 Cousin (hopefully the English one!!) it is for me!

Planner chaos is exactly it!! I love the Cousin , it’s one of the few bound books I can keep up with. I love the weeks too for the portability and functionality. Sterling Ink definitely has me considering, bc it does seem like the best of both worlds in one book. I wonder if the binding can stand up to the stickers and stuff like the Hobos? Not to mention the new Aura Estelle. I feel like I’m changing my mind every 5 minutes! The key is to stick with what works and avoid the shiny things, unless u just want to play with them for fun lol

Oh yeah and avoiding the shiny things is so hard!! Haha. You are the second person to mention the new Aura Estelle to me and I just.... may have to take a peek.... even though I have theoretically already bought all my planners for next year... 👀

I was excited for the new AuraEstelle 2023 dated planners till I saw the monthly is a Sunday start and the weeklies are a Monday start. I’m a Monday start girl but beyond that I need my month and week to match because when it doesn’t I get all messed up. Can’t deal with them not matching and don’t want to go thru and redate the entire thing and bulk it up more with stickers.
But I did order the Sterling Ink - knew from the moment she shared it it was my EDC next year - B6 is my happy place and it’s as close to my dream planner as exists currently. So very excited about that.

I originally wanted to use a Jibun Techo Biz mini as my work planner for 2023 and pair it with a Nanami Café Note in B6 Slim for any notes I need to take. The Sterling Ink planner is like a perfect combination of the two, without things like Japanese holidays that don‘t apply to me. That’s why I’m suuuper excited about the Sterling Ink planner and will definitely go for it for next year. The Cousin is too big for me. I’m going to use a Weeks for my private planning and an A6 Hobonichi as my journal. I think I’ve figured it out now, but I definitely went on a few tangents in the process: Inamio? Hemlock & Oak? NOTHING planner? - All amazing options, but ultimately, I’d love to have a planner next year that is smaller than A5. Not needing to pair it with an additional notebook is an added bonus.

I’m also in the middle of planner chaos. I’m in school for the rest of the year and just gained a new client at work. I use a cousin and even though I only use half my daily pages for personal planning, I need the space for work…and I hate “wasting” them that way. My unicorn right now would be an a5 with a monthly, weeks style weekly and undated daily plus vertical weeks for personal/memory planning. My plan is an a5 Avec for personal planning with a Jibun techo Days for work. I dislike multiple planners but I won’t be able to find my unicorn in a single book. The Jibun Days has an interesting layout with the hourly marker in the middle of the page. With both splitting the year into 2 books, I can keep both in the same cover. That’s the current plan.

    • @RachelleinTheory
      @RachelleinTheory  2 года назад +1

WOW I so understand your situation. I also hate "wasting" my planners for work, especially if I'm also doing memory keeping in the same planner and I have to have beautiful memories right next to to-do's like "inbox zero" 🙃 I would suggest that you try bullet journaling, and make your own spreads, but I know as a student it is SO hard to find the time, even if the spreads you're making are dirt simple. If you have to have a multiplanner system though, i'm happy for you that they can at least fit in the one cover, which is the dream!

I'm going with the Wonderland 222 as a single planner for 2023 in A5. I saw the Sterling Ink planner late in the game, and will be monitoring it for potential in 2024, although I think it may have too many back pages for me and I do like A5 for weekly spreads. I would love to try the Sterling Ink but I can find a B6 cover anywhere.

Moterm has great b6 and b6+ covers! That's what I will probably use. For a jelly/plastic cover, I'm hoping my old ones from my Stalogy will fit!

How does the Hobonichi paper take pencil?

It it alright! Mechanical paper is not my favorite on the hobo paper, because I find it's a bit slippery for the graphite. But it works and doesn't smudge or anything.

I don’t see what the big deal is about the sterlingInk planner I reviewed it and it’s almost the same as hobonichi except the goal pages, undated blank pages, no holidays, and no moon phases. For me it’s a flop. I’ll stick to my wonderland222 until take a note comes out with a b6 size.

For a lot of folks it fixes our issues with the Hobonichi! Size, colors, dated dailies, etc. Personally, I am pretty excited about it, but I can understand being wary of the newcomer! Losing the moon phases is a bummer for me especially.

What have you decided? Wonderland or Sterling Ink? Both is not the answer I'm looking for 🙂

Using my wonderland for now, and Sterling Ink in the new year! What would be the answer you are looking for?

Rachelle I was asking about 2023. Thanks for the reply.
