It is amazing how fast things hit the fan. You did what you could. Good experience to learn from.

@@BAAMRanch Living in a forested region, wildfire is my number one concern and most likely bug out reason. My get home bag always rides in my vehicle, but I'm in the process of putting together a load out with bins, like you. I definitely need to finish that up.

Finding out your mom needed CPR and then finishing your shift is WILD… priorities dude and work over family is NOT one…

She was already at hospital in a stable condition when I found out about it, 30 minutes was no big deal. Had the situation been different, screw that, I’ll find another job

@@BAAMRanch Hey to each their own. Me personally I know people in “stable condition” can take a turn for the worse in a second. 30 mins may not seem like a lot but if it doesn’t seem like a lot your work should have no issues with you leaving to tend to family. Just my thoughts.

@Commonwealth_Prepper I appreciate your input brother! All I can say is with the information that I shared, as well as what I did not share, all of that is what made the decision for me! But yeah, with lack of that information, I would have went immediately, I don’t really care if my work agreed or not
