If you still think of Kitty as an OG band, try the band Show-Ya, Japan 1981, amongst others. These Japanese bands didn't come from nowhere, there's decades of history and inspiration.

They have released four different videos as a 4 member band..Rise and Back Into The Wild of their own catalog and two covers( cause they played together with those two bands). They sound phenomenal. They are maybe even stronger, heavier and better than ever. Raw pover-vibes. And all the reviews from their liveconcerts from past two weeks are nothing but praising how good they are as a Four Member band. Everyone is excited big time. And ladies are also happy too, their social media posts are full of happiness. They even did Instagram-live where Mayu(singer) playin drums, Tamu(drummer) played bass, Haraguchi(bass) played guitar and Hazuki(gtr) singin 😂 and it was crazy good 😅 So, I think we can say that they are back in full power 🔥❤️🤘
I've seen Band Maid (all four North American tours), Nemophila (twice), Hanabie (and Passcode) once live (Lovebites has yet to tour the U.S.) -- you won't be disappointed by the lives...when they come back to America, GO SEE THEM ALL!

Ive always thought Mayu's clean vocals has this wonderful hint of Joan Jett mixed with Pat Benatar. Especially when she adds a little grit to it.
