      I see a color-shape for each note. Later in life as I started reading about tunings, thinking that might have something to do with the sensations, I learned that A432/C256 Hz tuning is aligned with Sacred Geometry and the Golden Mean. So I started tuning my keyboards to A432. Strangest thing is that when I would come the A432 Hz keyboard the music I played would make me dizzy. It's almost as if my brain was trying to pull the notes back up to A440 Hz! I can't honestly say that A-432 sounds better, but I only tune to A-432 anyway. Especially if your brain-waves themselves are more in tune with A432, then it is a no-brainer (literally!). Robert E. Grant stresses the use of A432 tuning-reference with his now Precise Temperment tuning. I need to find out how to tune my piano to this! // My own work, on this, and note-to-color music theory can be seen on my channel, if interested. - Be well! - The Acoustic Rabbit Hole

      It would be missing the point and wouldn't give the desired effect! The instruments all have to be tuned to A 432 kHz in the first place prior to recording. And the tuning effects the instrument's tone. Repitching and retuning audio is easily done but doesn't give the same result, obviously. I.E. You wouldn't be enjoying the music "the way it was written to sound".

      To a large extent, there is. Some electronic instruments can be tuned to any pitch, and it isn't difficult to set just intonation or equal temperament. I'm not sure what "Precise intonation" (geometrical) is, but it should be readily accomplished, too. Different standards were used throughout history, so without exact documentation, it is usually difficult to know for certain what pitch was intended.
      I wouldn't assume that 432 is automatically better.

      The sampling rate of the audio has nothing to do with any of this, the only thing it controls is the highest possible frequency that can be reproduced in the digital signal. for both 44100 and 48000 it is well outside of the range that any speaker can reproduce or any human ear can pick up. It's got absolutely nothing to do with the tuning of the music.

    I've been wanting to have my grandmother's 1910 Steinway tuned to Precise Temperament tuning (from it's historical 440 hz). My piano tuner (who has looked after this amazing instrument for many years and tunes the pianos for the Colorado Music Festival) is reluctant. Um... very reluctant. He actually told me he thought it would "ruin" the perfect soundboard, perhaps even bread the strings -- which both seemed odd to me. Perhaps it would help if there was a chart he could follow?....

    To me, this precise temperament tuning sounds similar to my growing preference to A= 444hz tuning..' in alignment with the rising Schumann & Ascension frequencies!' What's missing, to me, is the subtle dark nuances that I'm used to, in the standard tuning. Makes me feel as though a minor key is happier! ..perhaps, in keeping with Ascension & New Earth frequencies?! ☺️✨🎵🎶🌿💚✨

      why 444 hz as opposed to 432 hz?

    • @jacquelynkleine5709
      @jacquelynkleine5709 Год назад +3

      @@mcdart2606 444hz 'also' has the magical Tesla 3-6-9 frequencies embedded in it's frequency/notation. 528hz 'C' has a become popular frequency & that is part of the 444 diatonic scale. As a composer/recording artist, I employ the use of tuning transpositions just as I do notation, melody, harmony, purpose/mood, etc.. in my compositions. 432 works well for a trusted, grounded - Earth feel..444 (also master numerology & related to the Angelic realm) feels helpful to raise the listener's frequency & energy/auric field (Ascension)...and I also use 440 sometimes for particular pieces - just feels right - denseness - helps get into the body(?!) Thanks for asking!

    • @Acoustic-Rabbit-Hole

      Jacquelyn, this is incredible that you are mentioning this because in my recording studio I got a Schumann Resonance recording I found online, and I carefully tweaked a sine wave against it until it matched. I had assumed it would sync with A-432, but to my surprise, the sign wave blended into A444 hz! To this day, sometimes, the songs I convert to A-432 don’t feel right. And this is when I tune up to A444 and it is the perfect bowl of porridge. How did you hear about A444 tuning? Are you a musician? // incidentally, You can see my work on this topic on my uTube channel, The Acoustic Rabbit Hole

    • @jacquelynkleine5709
      @jacquelynkleine5709 Год назад +1

      @@Acoustic-Rabbit-Hole well...'twas me n my frequency apps that figured it out and chose the tuning! 444hz is becoming my preference! Interestingly.. (and I can't quite figure this out!?!) • @Acoustic-Rabbit-Hole
      @Acoustic-Rabbit-Hole Год назад +1

      @@jacquelynkleine5709 Amazingly, our usages of A432 vs A444 seem similar. I always tell people that tuning down to A432 adds a Mozartian, yet Romantic warmth, whereas A444 is more laser-focused and mental.

  • @dsummerhays
    @dsummerhays 8 месяцев назад +2

    As a piano tuner, I applaud this creativity. I’m no fan of equal temperament but I don’t think this precise tuning sounds very good. The third is even sharper than in equal temperament, where it’s already about 14 cents sharp.
    Also I’m confused why you compare this to a just temperament. It is even farther from just than equal temperament.
    Plus the real question of a temperament is its ability to transpose in different keys.

    • @Robert_Edward_Grant
      @Robert_Edward_Grant  6 месяцев назад

      The reason it is closer to Just Tuning is because it maintains the ratio of the Major 2nd (and therefore its inverted pairing the Minor 7th) as 9/8 = 1.125; the Perfect 5th (and Perfect 4th at 1.33333) as 3/2 = 1.5. This is in contrast to Equal Temperament's values for the same intervals as 1.122 for the Major 2nd and 1.498 for the Perfect 5th and 1.335 for the Perfect 4th.

    • @dsummerhays
      @dsummerhays 6 месяцев назад

      @@Robert_Edward_Grant I hope you take this as constructive criticism because I'm curious how this temperament can be improved. First, I think you're already aware, but just making sure, that having a "just 2nd" has very little value. Second, as you say, the "precise tuning" is slightly more in tune for the 4th and 5ths. That does indeed make those intervals closer to just, which is indeed a good thing. However, within Equal Temperament, the 4ths and 5ths, beating respectively at about twice a second and once a second, do not sound particularly off to the listener.
      3rds and 6ths are at least equally if not more important than 4ths and 5ths and moreover in Equal Temperament, they are quite a bit sharp and flat, respectively. Very, very off from Just. To me, that is a major problem and this should not be described as closer to just if the 3rds are farther off.

    • @dsummerhays
      @dsummerhays 6 месяцев назад

      @@Robert_Edward_Grant
      I'm not able to read from this chart how the progression of thirds works in your tuning. See my friend Carl Radford's video about the Thomas Young Temperament for more information about the thirds should traditionally progress along the circle of 5ths for the music of Bach, Chopin or Beethoven. One of the keys of a temperament is its ability to play harmoniously in different keys. I understand that someone posted video of chords in several different temperaments, however that is not helpfully presented. It needs to progress along the circle of 5ths and an augmented chord is not usually among the options.
