The lyrics here is about the Chinese culture to themselves, as in our culture, we need to review ourselves harsher, and think the people with perfect kindness that worth to be loved. So this person in the song and reviewed his/her life, and knowing that how many people who loved him/her but being hurt or pushed away by him/her. So he/she found guilty and at the end deserving loneliness forever. So he/she cannot blame loneliness deep inside as enemy but accompanying. So this song for me is kind of review own self and guilty song of life. The song turn major as finally the person found the reason of being lonely and kind of accepting, and found peace to live with loneliness. Not the victim of loneliness but it's the own self reason.
The concept is like I accepted myself being alone, and everyone is alone. And That's OK! Like I allowed my myself immerse in the bad feelings. It's such a relief after listening it.
I think I had good explain why it turned into major when singing about black mist. cos' he felt extreme lonliness before that. then he realized that there's still a black mist company with him, so that made him felt comfortable a little at least, for not so lonely.
Please react to the competition "the next singer 2025" which is a continuation of singer 2024, and the competition also has twelve episodes. There is also Faouzia and several contestants from singer 2024 who will be judges
对老外来说,可能从小的教育让他们本能会向外界表达出自己的内心,因此不能理解这种内化酝酿后产生的感情,会觉得“让恶魔进入我”是多么邪恶黑暗的想法,但对我们来说:啊呀小case啦~ Why do the lyrics and melody of this song feel completely mismatched to foreigners, while Chinese people resonate with it? My personal understanding is that "it stems from the influence of different cultures and education." For thousands of years, Chinese culture has cultivated the idea that people should internalize their emotions. Even when feeling sadness, one is expected to keep it within and process it privately. Under such emotional suppression, with no one to confide in, people's thoughts can easily veer toward the extreme, leading them to converse with non-existent entities. The lyric "Let the demon enter my body" is actually quite similar to Li Bai's famous verse: "I raise my cup to invite the moon, and together with my shadow, we form a trio." Li Bai conversed with the moon and his shadow to dispel his loneliness. Similarly, one might think, "Perhaps my loneliness can be understood by a demon," or "If I let a demon take over my body, maybe my sorrow can be alleviated." The more tightly a spring is compressed, the stronger its desire to rebound. Beneath an outwardly restrained demeanor, there often lies a fascination with behaviors that are immoral, irrational, or even wicked. Even when there is an overwhelming storm of emotions within, rationality usually keeps behavior in check. As a result, Chinese people often channel such thoughts into poetry or prose, finding a form of catharsis. Over time, even immersing oneself in negative emotions can become a peculiar kind of "enjoyment." Once something unconventional becomes "artistic," people begin to view it with more tolerance, and it becomes easier to relate to and resonate with it. For foreigners, however, their education often encourages them to naturally express their inner thoughts outwardly. Because of this, they may not understand the feelings that result from internalization and brewing emotions. To them, a lyric like "Let the demon enter me" might seem utterly dark and evil. But to us, it's just like, "Oh, that's no big deal!"
Generally in mandarin songs, lyrics are written in a more poetic sort of way, what I mean by that is, compared to English songs, the lyrics isn't being as literal or straight forward with that it's saying. So all those descriptive words are not taken that literally. I mean I get the part about the fire of jealousy burning my skin inch by inch seems extreme, but it's not using fire to paint a violent picture that the pain was that intense , but only in the sense that fire is something that hurts you and it spreads. That sort of stuff. The last sentence where it says a lifelong loneliness is actually a mercy to me", really just means, "after all these time, I guess being lonely isn't the worst thing, ". the latter is also how you would usually see in English lyrics, but in terms how how heavy it is and what it's talking about it's actually in the same intensity. Or the part where it says "who left me , who leave me broken" it's not exactly the right translation, the phrase can be interpreted 2 ways, one as a question as in, "who abandoned me and broke me into pieces" or sometimes the "who" is kind of synonymous to just saying "someone", but saying saying "someone broke me into pieces" sounds odd in English, so a more accurate translation would really just be, "now I'm in pieces" as in because someone abandoned me, and it broke me. And the following part with "in the avalanche no single flake of snow is innocent" the way I see it it's not about holding everyone around but himself accountable. It's more like saying I guess in the mess of a break up, no one is faultless. Because it follows with "who can I talk to". I think if anything that few lines means, there is no point blaming who broke who's heart, in the end we're all hurt and there's no one to confide in. I think at first maybe he was blaming but he's realising there's no point blaming because in the end both suffer, and for him, in his perspective he's hurt and want someone to talk to, but he now has no one to talk to. I think the whole song the way it's wrote is actually very fitting to the lyrics, I mean he did say he became numb, but there's actually that light at the end when he realise his loneliness is a mercy, which I've explained earlier, that it means he sees the silver lining in all this, like I guess it's okay being lonely at least I won't get hurt. When he says he's numb it's not in the sense like someone just going into self destruction because he's numb, but more about getting used to it. At no part of this song, to me it sounds like depression, or feels depressive, but I guess if you only read the English translations like that, it does feel that way, but within the context of how mandarin lyrics are usually written, it's really not dark, it's actually the opposite, it's more like seeing through and "enlightened" kind of way. I hope one day you do a video on QiQin. his songs are quite different, he sings songs that are often so profoundly moving, even though the song whether the singing or the lyrics aren't really heavy. His sister is QiYu, he was in that singer show you did, where he sang don McLean's Vincent starry starry night. They are both very special singers to me, and I feel so far after all these years no other singers has come close to making me feel the same way I do listening to their songs, until ZhouShen came along.

Please do a reaction on Tender! 单依纯 sang so well!

lol, Rozette finally recognizes Yichun

shan yichun is not rising anymore on my list of favourite singer, cos theres no one else above her.
Totally agree

Coco
Could you please react to 劉雨昕&姚曉棠 原來那個人 ?
