A good plan AND control of all non-native invasive species BEFORE logging. Majority of landowners can’t keep up with invasive species before logging, let alone after giving them sunlight. I always prefer to take out the low value trees first.

Just call a Forester who specializes in wildlife management. Only a small % of state funded plans get funded, then you wasted another year.
If you have a guy who understands your goals and can guide you through the process, its going to go better. Think of it like going into court with or without a lawyer. You want someone who does it all the time in your corner.
