In the Ramayanam English discourse you delivered for Ramajanmabhoomi, you mentioned that King Dasaratha was blessed by Sanata Kumara that he will have four boy children. I was eagerly waiting if you will elaborate who is Sanata Kumara. I happened to read that Skanda/Murugan is Sanata Kumara. This is is mentioned at the end of the 7th chapter of the Chhandogya Upanishad according to one book (Chapter 1 - Skanda SanatKumara of the Lights on the Upanishads by T.V. Kapali Sastry). Please throw some light on this.
I deeply resonate with the things you mentioned towards the end of your discourse. Please also put the seed of thought in our people to celebrate all our functions at home instead of booking halls. Even in the serial about Mahaperiyava directed by Bombay Chanakyaa, they encouraged to conduct the Upananyanam ceremony at home. You had also made a guest appearance in this serial so I suppose you also endorse a simple way of conducting our functions. Like that, we should also conduct our marriage functions at home instead of in halls. This is mentioned by Mahaperiyava in his book the Voice of God wherein he says we should view them as samskaras instead of celebrations. Nobody is going to lose business if the Brahmin community decides to downsize functions. It is such a pain to see that we who should lead a simple life are indulging in materialistic pleasures.
