Just found this video (2 years late!!) and I have to thank you, you see, I stopped knitting about 6 years ago and finding this video gave me the inspiration to get back into knitting since this will be a gift for my adult daughter. I'm "rusty" so I thought this project was perfect to brush up on my knitting skills again. I've been only crocheting these past 6 yrs and want to mix up my love for Fiber Arts to include my knitting and weaving again, so THANK YOU for inspiring me to do this! Love your channel.
Hey Chandi! I taught myself to crochet a couple of years ago and really took off with it. My dream has always been to pick up knitting someday and make a bunch of socks, but every time I tried to learn it seemed too cumbersome and awkward to me - hence picking up crochet instead. Well, I decided to try again and learn continental style knitting, and what a world of difference that’s made! I can’t thank you enough for making videos like this (FOR FREE! What??). You’ve been so helpful for my new learning journey, and I truly love how relaxed and encouraging you are. When you teach, everything feels doable, and nothing is scary or intimidating. It’s much harder to be mean to myself for making mistakes and to give up when instead I can just say, “Nah it’s ok, Chandi explained it well and it really is simple. I’ll watch and try again.“ You’re a wonderful teacher. Thank you again, and take care!
Just wanted you to know that I’ve always enjoyed your videos but I also wanted to tell you that I have noticed a maturity in you and how you make videos that has made watching them much more enjoyable. Thank you for this video, I plan to make this scarf soon.
Hi Chandi. I mainly crochet, I learned it first and it just came easier for me. Your knitting videos make me want to pick up my needles and work on my knitting. Thank you for sharing your talent with us.
Chandi, this is so nice. It is only two row repeat on straights, wow. It is simplistic, yet it looks complicated. I have to knit one of these for this fall. Love all your tutorials, thanks for sharing.
I NEED this yarn and I have to do this pattern. I LOVE IT! I made a blanket for my daughter using your baby blanket video. She picked out the yarn and loves it. I know how to knit because of your videos, simple step by step. Thank you!
Anything easy! Love this scarf, easy and beautiful! I need to build my confidence ! I love to knit and crochet, but so little time! We farm and I’m a school bus driver, and I sit on a agriculture board! Would love to knit more! Thanks! Keep inspiring! Have a Blessed Day!
Thank you, Chandi, for this lovely simple pattern! It gives the appearance of being difficult, but, if a beginner can cast on, knit and bind off then it will be easy because every stitch is a knit stitch. The increase simply makes two knit stitches from one and the decrease combines two stitches into one... so if the the increase/decrease stitches are always done at the correct point, it will be perfect!
Hi! I'm from Puerto Rico. I'm a crocheted and self taught myself some knitting. I like to do easy baby blankets, scarfs and shawls. Thank you for such an easy project.
This is such a beautiful infinity scarf. You are very clear with your instructions. I’ve just started. I’m sure my friend is going to like it. Thank you very much! Love and greetings from June in Singapore ❤
I love the look of this, and you explain things very well . I intend making this with Zauberball Crazy which is a fingering weight, and I'll use a larger needle. I hope it turns out OK. I love the way the stripes are diagonal. I find cowls really good for me, as scarves tend to fall off my narrow shoulders! Thanks again.
You are Wonderful, And your instructions are very clear. I am an experienced knitter but still enjoy a simple pattern. I usually work 2 or 3 projects at the same time. ❤
I definitely am going to try this. I'm a new knitter (about 2 months) and I think this looks very simple for someone who knows the basics. I love your channel and look forward to all of you videos. I would love more beginner friendly videos and you are amazing :)
Thank you for this beautiful cowl tutorial. Looks easy enough to follow. Gonna give this pattern a try for some niece's whom adores my knitted scarves so far.
I truly enjoy your projects! I come back to your videos over and over. I've avoided stripes because I never wanted to cut and tie ends. Also, I can't wait until you have more cotton yarns!
To me, this pattern is very easy! Thank you so much for sharing this with us! This is a very beautiful scarf!! I am trying this out now because I enjoy knitting!
This is really pretty and looks very easy to make. I can't wait to try it. Thanks bunches!!!! Oh, and I've been watching you for a while and I just ADORE you and the way you teach!
This is going to be my first project using the beautiful yarn I purchased from your shop. I've been practicing on regular acrylic just to get the hang of it. I can't wait to cast this project on my needles. Will you ever be doing sock tutorials by chance? I know you have some patterns on the website. I love your work. Thanks Chandi and Team!
WOW, Thank you for this simple scarf pattern. It looks complicated and it is so simple😄. It also works with any yarn that you have.I had some some black and white yarn and some black. Put together it looks great. Thank you again. Sandra Bartman
This is beautiful!! ...I've been crocheting so often , my hands started to hurt a bit ...I think knitting again will work for me lol ... This is such a nice piece too made ...love the yarn and the final results. thank you for sharing, Chandi
Hi Gina, if I understand you correctly, yes, that should be possible. If you do a provisional cast on and not bind off the at the end, you can connect both ends with a Kitchener stitch. I hope this helps. have a great day! 💜
Thanks a lot! This is a really nice tutorial and the first one I have seen (and I have seen a lot) where increasing and decreasing is after and before the two (inititial and final) stitches. And this is what my first idea of diagonal knitting was. :). I am going to make a scarf using this method, but starting and finishing with a triangle (to avoid diagonal ends) and with a herringbone pattern, so more complicated.
Hi Chandi always happy to see your tutorials...I tried downloading one of your patterns, I had singed up and checked out and it said I would receive the pattern over mail however, I didn't receive any..kindly advise
Thank you so much for letting me know. Please write us here: www.expressionfiberarts.com/contact-us/ and we will make sure to get that pattern to you. 💕
Hi, you have good and easy patterns! I like it. I'm going to try this pattern next time when wanting to knit a scarf. The only exception is that I don't want to knit stripes but going to use multicolored yarn.
That’s gorgeous I love the way your yarns look I’m a avid crocheter but a struggling knitter I love this beginner project I think I could at least attempt it. I just subscribed to your channel to see if if there’s more beautiful beginner projects ❤️
Hi how do you get the free download I tried by putting in my gmail but it said signing in as guest and it wanted all my amazon info like my pswd so I couldn’t download it 😢I would really love to make this❤️
Love ur work, n the fact that, to me, you do a lot of simple projects. I'm a beginner, so of course that means a big yaaaay cuz it allows me to learn amazing things thanks to you. So thank youooooó
