Phew... took a while to finally get this set up for recording. Hope it's clear and easy to understand! Anyways, UP NEXT: will be opening the next 2 Starter Decks for Dragon (Dragoncraft) and Witch (Runecraft) before filming a tutorial match between them as well!
@@rustmarrow : Yeah, I found that out. But still I like the rules where if you go first you get two evolve points and you can evolve second where if you go second, you get three evolve points and can evolve first.
this video is done SO well!!!! thank you so much for making it so clear and easy to follow with fun animations as well!! Plus your energy is just contagious-- looking forward to more playtesting videos! :)
Man, I love you and your channel, rustmarrow. You're my go to for learning new tcgs as well as showcasing tcgs I already know and you do it so clearly. Not to mention your voice is just comforting
great video mate, i plan on getting a starter deck on launch day this weekend, and this video hyped me even more, still cant decide which craft to play tho
Hey there, at 8:34 when you attacked with the fairy token, it's supposed to be tapped, that could give Erika the chance to crash one of her 2/2 followers into the Token and delete it so she can have space for more plays, though that will reduce the total damage done to the leader
Interesting. Many cards from the OG digital version of Shadowverse got buffed here. Aria has ward and gives rush to fairies XD Titania's Sanctuary is a 3 cost compared to it originally being 5 XD
This tutorial has me very excited to try Shadowverse when it comes to English. You were very clear about a lot of things here, but I have 1 question. During mulligan, we put any number of cards to the bottom and draw that many, but do we shuffle the deck before we start play? I'm used to Vanguard but the rest of the game like keywords and stuff feel pretty easy to understand. I know it'll all make sense once the decks come with their rulebooks, but I'm very excited and want to make sure I understand.
Awesome tutorial mate! Folowed + liked. Btw where can i find that english version cards? I think there is only Japanese physical cards. Dont you have any info regarding localisation? Btw the physical version is by FAR better designed than that poor HS clone on PC.
Hey, quick question about evolve forms. So there’s three copies for each evo form, but your video mentioned you may only evolve one time per game for each form? Just wanted some clarification. Great vids, thanks again!
Evolve one time per game for *each copy of card. So if you put 3 copies, you can evolve 3 times. However, in Set 2 we now have a card that can reset your evolved cards, allowing you to evolve into them once more
So you're only allowed to use Quick cards during the end phase and not any other time during your opponent's turn? For example, I can't use a removal spell in response to an attack? I was expecting them to be like Instants in Magic, but I guess that's not the case.
I have a question: if the first player wishes to evolve units can they use their own EP or do they have to use PP since the second player got the 3 EP cards ???
@Anang Rabo in Shadowverse Evolve, the player going first gets 0! @Angel Martin I think it's still balanced by the fact that the second player can only use 1 evolution orb per turn! So it's kinda like first player can attack first, but second player can evolve first. Also, we unfortunately weren't able to see it in this match but Elf could have pulled off some pretty strong Evolves for 3 + 1 cost too!
It's really unfortunate that the first player can't use the Evolve followers at all. Which means tempo play is really really important; even more so for the player going first. But at least only some "selected followers" can evolve. Would still need to draw into those followers and evolving them when it could satisfy the evolve costs
@@yugiwinninglex The switch game has the same rules and mechanics as the mobile/computer version but different cards. So you could say there are actually 3 shadowverse games XD
@@vicoturo2 I only knew abt computer and mobile version. Technically switch is still the same game seems same rules unless there's different things involve.
@@yugiwinninglex It's the same rules, just a different card list that is not yet available in the mobile/computer version. There are also different balance changes for each card (because the "Meta" environment is different for both games). But all the rules are the same as the mobile/computer version. So not really a different game, just wanted to add some information xD
Doesn't getting 3 evo points and a draw make up way too much for going second? In the digital game you only get +1 evo compared to the player going first.
@@overdresstoimpress6975 Nope, you can go and look at the rules and the official website. The physical game has different rules from the digital, please don't mix them up
So going first is bad.. and im not sure what the point of the leader cards is. If everyone has 20 life and they have no effects, they seem pointless. If its for deck building.. you could just apply the same deckbuilding restrictions as a rule. Dont need a leader for that.

With it being announced for English... I had to watch a gameplay video... This was perfect thank you!
"And it's deleted- I mean destroyed" that part killed me XD
this is so good! now i see why assail is somewhat important because most unit cards are immune to combat on 1st turn you drop.

Keep up the great work 👍
Thanks as always!

It's gonna be a bit confusing going from the video game to this. I should probably finish the it before whenever the English release comes out.

Nope, theres an Eng SVE community

Fantastic tutorial. Thank you.
8:34 If the fairy attacked, then it will be in the ACT state and Erika can just attack the fairy to free up some spaces, right?
Good point! Then yea, perhaps it would have been better not to attack at all
Muy instructivo el video, lo explicas de una manera fácil de entender.
Where did u find the english cards for the decks. I would like to have them to use to start practicing the game. Did u use Tabletop Simulator.

This looks amazing,
Whats the program you used?
Tabletop Simulator
Do you know if "allied" followers, include neutral followers or is it just allies of the same class as the leader?
The tcg seems quite different rule wise to the mobile game.
I agree
I agree aswell
especially since it seems like only the player going second can evolve. that just seems weird to me.

No, like I said in the video:
Quicks can be used during the opponent's turn
(1) When they declare an attack
(2) Or their End Phase
@@rustmarrow Oh okay, I missed the first part.
What did you make this game and tutorial on?
Tabletop Simulator!

No, there is only the [Ward] keyword which forces your opponent to only attack the Followers with the effect
@@rustmarrow Thanks!
What happens if the first player wants to Evolve? Or is the evolve mechanic STRICTLY for the 2nd player only?
You can pay PP to evolve in this game

do the three EP cards given to the player going second take up 3 of the 5 slots in the EX area?

Quicks aren't on declaration tho-
Let's go!!!
Isnt at 8:51 swordcraft deck actualy can get fatal if they evolve they card ?
Bcause most card get +2 if evolved
In the physical card game, not all cards can evolve! At that moment, none of the cards on Swordcraft's field could evolve.
I’m confused how come only the player going first gets Evolve points?
Player going second, and yup that's the system in evolve. It works bcos you can use PP to pay for evolve cost in this game
So basically all followers gain ambush on fanfare
Those evolution orbs seem a bit pigglet for the second player. Isn't it a bit unbalanced? Hmmm
I feel like the player with the evolution orbs had more advantage idk what do you think?
I think player who go first can get 2 evo orb to like in the digital game but i don't know if the rule on real card game have some diffrent.
