Love this video. Hit for singles but also for the home runs - the big wins make up for the smaller losses.

You stated above that 40% of the profits have a 3:1 ratio. Does this mean that the profits are 3 times the expected loss ? Thanks

Hi Étienne. Great educational work, keep going.
Few comments: Engulfing pattern is a good reversal signal. Studies show a reliability between 60% to 75% depending who did the measurements. A good reference is Bulkowski. You can read one of his publication « Bulkowski on the Bullish Engulfing Candlestick ».
Now, as for the exit, we see very often, in the development of a position, a engulfing pattern that signal a potential reversal. So if it is good for entry, it should be good to exit. That way you would preserve your gain. If the trend resume, take the position again. The cost of the spread and commissions would be substantially less than the extra gain obtained.
An other exit comment: why not using a trailing stop.
Finally, why you do not show the result using a trading journal summary.
I will comeback on your demonstration with performance results.

For the Engulfing pattern setup which time-frame do you use ? thanks,

@@sanjitjashan It is working for whatever time frame a trader will be able to trade manually because candelsticks reflect the behaviour of the traders. Do not forget that behavior is the result of our psychology and they are quite similar from one time frame to another providing you trade manually unless an automated trading system trades like humans !

Are you using this method in your bots?

No because it's very hard to code these visual levels well. For algos, I"m using fractals for trailing stop losses.
