Hi Chris, good video. I bought one pair this summer in forage and casually another yesterday in black too and a nuclei pants in black color for this winter. I use with wool long johns in cold days.
I see the Gamma AR Pants also & trying to decide whether to get those or the Gamma Pants in your video today. Gamma AR seem to be made of Burly Weave as described for Gamma Hoody?
I have the Gamma AR and the Burly double weave fabric has been highly durable and functional after 6+ years. Could you please compare the Burly double weave fabric and Fortius 2.0 fabric in terms of weight, stiffness, durability, breathability etc?
I have a couple of alternatives, which I own and can highly recommend for Summer & Winter use. Mountain Equipment Ibex Trousers. These are the best in their class lightweight softshell trousers. They match the Frontier/Mission Jackets that Mountain Equipment make. Mountain Equipment Ibex Pro Trousers (Heavier Weight). These are the thicker versions of the standard Ibex trousers that are more suitable for colder environments. Montane Terra Mission Pants. I have to say I absolutely love these in the cold weather! So for those of you who cannot find Arc'teryx or don't like being price gouged by Arc'teryx, these examples will do you fine! I'm still looking for a Gamma Hoody in the UK but never seem to be able to find the stock. Anyway, if you are in the market for softshell trousers/pants my 1st suggestion would be to go to a store and look at my suggestions first before looking at anything else. You will thank me!
They are great for hiking, 10/10
Keep up the good work mate. Really appreciate the reviews. 😁

Yes, that is a bit heavier fabric than the gamma pants.
