Recently, I fired up my Xbox 360 to see what treats I could maybe add before the marketplace store closes.. and for whatever reason, my avatars have turned gray or clear, and I am unable to alter or edit them in any fashion.. any Intel into what happened??

No, the closure only affects the store on the Xbox 360 Xbox 360 games on Xbox ones or series X will still be available to download on their stores

That is correct if it’s not backwards compatible on Xbox one then unless it has a native Xbox one version or remastered it’s gone forever

According to Microsoft you will still be able to re-download previously purchased games. You just can’t make any new purchases on the store.
