      @@PawPawsWorkShop ..
      My dilema is that I hired a carpenter to make me a bathroom vanity with a top surround, a linen cabinet, a make-up vanity and cupboards for a new laundry room. This started in February and we are rolling into July. He brought the frame for the vanity and the lined cabinet for the bathroom. Just the frame, no doors or drawers. He led us to believe over and over that he I'm finished and was going to deliver and for one reason or another he never came through until he brought just the frames at which time I asked him if he would send me pictures well I did so and called his bluff because he didn't have anything else done. Now he said he does this for fun and it's no longer fun and left us hanging high and in high and dry so here I sit with everything from my bathroom is in my living room and kitchen it's a disaster!! He will no longer communicate with us. So where I need help is wondering if it is even possible to build the drawers now for those cabinetsAnd basically how to finish this up. I have never done anything of this kind kind and I don't even know what tools I need for routering the doors it's only way that you can give me guidance or help? Please? I have also ordered custom marble top for the single sink vanity and the make up vanity. This guy really left me in the lurch all these months later. I am devastated to tears. You could email me at lflunker@yahoo. com. I can also email the pictures to you that he was going off of so you have a better understanding what I'm talking about. Thank you!!

    do you have a video on what tools you use for cabinet making or do you have recommendations on the best table saw to start out with?

    • @PawPawsWorkShop
      @PawPawsWorkShop  5 лет назад

      You want to get the best table saw that you can afford. It also depends on whether or not this is just a hobby or is it going to be more. I like powermatic and sawstop. Those are more of the high end. The DeWalt and the Hercules from Harbor Freight are both good entry level saws.

    I’d be interested in knowing why you do not use glue for any of your joints? I have experienced mails and staples loosen up over time creating a wobbly cabinet... like ikea made it. You definitely know something that I do not know.

    • @PawPawsWorkShop
      @PawPawsWorkShop  4 года назад +2

      This cabinet was designed as a easy simple build. Glue does adds an extra step. Also, the nails are coated with a glue. When you shoot them into the wood, the heat activates the glue. The cabinet should not loosen up over time especially when using plywood. Solid wood cabinet will have more opportunity for movement. Different construction methods would be required.

    So i thought oh thats nice looking, and seems somewhat simple in thw way its constructed surly thus is a video for beginners needing guidence..........next minute a casual saw protruding from a table top slices through the sheet of wood........clearly a person with tools like that beast are quiet capable

    • @PawPawsWorkShop
      @PawPawsWorkShop  4 года назад +2

      While a table saw is an important tool and is the center piece for most shops, you can still accomplish this build with a circular saw in place of the table saw.

    Your bottom rail should have been the same width as the top, also toe kick depth should be at least 3 inches. Lastly, I highly recommend the Sommerfield cabinet bit set for all cabinet building especially for amateurs woodworkers.
