Imagine M83 and Hans Zimmer collaborating...that would be epic.
I had spine surgery a year ago, and this album was what I listened to in the hospital before I was discharged. I went on some WILD medically enhanced dream adventures with this album as the soundtrack.
This is the haven for those people with surreal taste.
This is the theme to the greatest RPG that never existed.
M83 makes me feel like i'm an alien being wrongly on earth
I remember hearing this album years ago and feeling transported to another world, which I began writing down. I'm still working on that book. I wish there were more albums as enchanting as this one.
I love this, it feels like promotional music for a video game.
Listening this masterpiece in my quarantine
One of the best artist alive in my opinion. This insane level of creativity. It’s like a modern Mozart
There is something special about dreams. Something that I can never truly grasp while I am awake. A feeling that is hard to describe, and that is almost immediately forgotten each time I open my eyes. Waking up, it immediately feels like some whole different universe has been lost somewhere in the depths of memory. Immediately after waking up, I feel melancholic for even the tiniest glimpse of that world. But waking life goes on and soon I forget about that dream completely. Until one special night, miraculously it is brought back again - just for a same too-short while.
This feels like if the OSTs for Dead Cells and Risk of Rain had a baby. It's incredible.
Simply sick. It's so good I can feel the fairy tale world on my skin, and my open eyes are the only thing keeping me from slipping into that dimension.
This sounds like it came straight out of an 80's fantasy movie. It's perfection ⭐️
It’s like taking dmt or tabs and this album is the soundtrack of ur adventure. M83 thank you for making music like this.❤️
That angelic choir melody around
This is the most incredible album I’ve listened to in years. It seems like a homage to the most famous melodies of all time, summoning the likes of Keith Jarret, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Secede and so many more. The melodies are playful and childish, almost hard to follow at times until, after a few repetitions, your brain begins to make sense of the long and eerie pattern, like a theme song to some timeless civilization in perpetual sunrise, bursting with awesome power. I’ve never experienced the fusion of Sesame Street level goofy vibes progressing into tear-jerking inspiration like I did listening to “Oh Yes You’re There, Everyday”. I would’ve never believed that a person with as much success and fame as M83 could so thoroughly resist the draw of mainstream, digestible tunes to make something so inspiring and experimental and risky. And original! If an AI could fuse the essence of human kind’s musical achievements into one genre, it would sound something like this, only it would lack the particular emotion and soul that made Digital Shades Volume One so brilliant. This is the cutting edge. True genius.
It’s like a soundtrack of Metroid or The Legend Of Zelda, makes my feel in another world!
Has s bit of that Solar Fields feel to it. It's not just music but a ticket to a different place. Pretty incredible.
LOVE this album. It's like the epic instrumental pieces of the late 70's, early 80's. And distinctive in itself
