    I'm rally happy to motivate you to stitching on the Twosted Band Sampler, as I always enjoy working on it and I think for youbit's quite similar 😊 Also it's just pretty cool to hear stuff like that, because you actually were the one that got me into flosstube with showing all those different designers and patterns and stitching styles 😅

    The new SAL looks like fun, but like you, I probably would not drink most of the things they have put on there, so changing names is easy enough and fun. 😉
    Happy Easter 💐🐇

    Hi Sarah...I am one of those that can't tolerate coffee. It is easy at our house as my hubby is from Ireland and drinks only Tea. I think your conversion to the word cocoa is just right. As always your stitching mastery amazes me! Have a Blessed week and a lovely Easter...waving from Michigan

    Loving all of your progress and plans. Roseto looks gorgeous. Will you be doing a stitch with me soon on that piece? I would love to learn more about counted canvas work.

      I will try to do a stitch with me on Rosetto the next time I pull it out. I found that I didn't want to do stitch with me videos during March because I had only scheduled myself one day on each piece. When filming and chatting, I stitch slower, so I felt like I was robbing a piece of it's once chance to see progress. When I give a piece 2-3 days, I will have more freedom to film my stitching once in awhile. :)

    I'm always amazed as to how much you get done with multiple projects! Wish I could do the same. I obviously don't have your discipline in switching projects each day. I'm a SWIWWIW kind of stitcher and so I have a hard time following or keeping up with SALs. Love all you do as always. Stay safe Sarah ❤

    I always enjoy your videos, and I much prefer seeing a picture “fill in” rather than colour-completing. Your method seems to be working very well for you. For myself, I still park because I really dislike fitting in stitches that are surrounded on all sides!☺️

    Hello. Was it hard to learn how to do full coverage pieces? I love the mill hill butterfly progress. The colors are so pretty.

    • @StitchinMommy
      @StitchinMommy  3 года назад

      Hi Anne! It wasn't that hard to start stitching full coverage pieces. The biggest difference was starting the design in the top corner, because before those types of patterns, I usually started in the middle. But, for the way I stitch, it works best to stitch from the top down. Full coverage are not that different from other stitching - just usually bigger! :D

    Beautiful stitching. How do you know how many stitches you put in, surly you don’t count them.

    • @StitchinMommy
      @StitchinMommy  3 года назад

      If the pattern is in Pattern Keeper, it keeps track of how many stitches I stitch each day, and I record it in my stitching journal. If the pattern is not on Pattern Keeper (just on paper), I am not counting my stitches. :)

    Hi again Sarah, as always another lovely podcast & really gorgeous work ❤️. I was wondering if you have ever, or would you ever stitch on a printed fabric. They seem to have many designs on printed Aida these days & as I have such difficulty in placing my stitches in the correct square, was thinking that this may be the way for me to go......... I guess some may think that this is cheating, but I love cross stitching but also get quite frustrated when I realise that I have once again counted wrongly 😱. What are your thoughts on this please. Cheers 😊❤️💕😘🥰😍

    • @StitchinMommy
      @StitchinMommy  3 года назад

      Yes! I started a kit that was on printed fabric in February. My progress is in Video #168, starting at the 34 minute mark. I have only worked on it for one day, but it was pretty straightforward. The thing you might want to be careful of is that a lot of the companies that put out those types of kits use licensed artwork illegally. So, if you're fairly certain the design you're choosing is legitimate, I think that would be a nice way for you to be able to enjoy cross stitch!

    14:11 would you please show the back of this piece? I have seen backs where people stop at the end of a page. When they stop like that, you can see a definite empty line on the back. So I’d like to see a back of at diagonally stitched full coverage. Thank you

    • @StitchinMommy
      @StitchinMommy  3 года назад +1

      I'll be bringing April Fairy back out later this month, so I'll try to remember to show the back. Since I'm parking my threads in the spaces next to where I've been stitching, the threads are carrying over those diagonal lines so there are not empty gaps along the edges of each diagonal. There are some times where I run my needle along the edge to get to a different area to stitch or park, so there may be a few more threads ran underneath the stitches along the edges of the diagonal. But, on the front, I don't notice any tension ridges, so that's good!

    How do you finish your yearly temperature pieces?

    • @StitchinMommy
      @StitchinMommy  3 года назад

      I actually have only fully finished my first temperature piece - the Temperature Garden. I framed it and it's hanging next to my stitching spot. You can see it behind me in my old filming location before COVID brought my whole family home and I had to relocate upstairs for a quiet place. :) My other temperature finishes, I'm thinking I might sew them into the fronts of some project bags - but I haven't had the energy or motivation to tackle that project yet. :)

    I also started the twisted band sampler, I adored and still adore the speciality stitches in it. I am glad I can go to Instagram for reference on where to start the next speciality stitch, I think the pattern is not very newbie-friendly in this sense, or I am just not talented in reading the pattern. Since you have a wide knowledge of project do you have a recommendation of a project that has lots of speciality stitches in it? Or maybe you have 2-3 recommendations? It's very impressive that you can insert these stitches as you go along! I love the colors in Iris, can't wait to see it finished! Have a great week!

    • @StitchinMommy
      @StitchinMommy  3 года назад

      There are other patterns by Northern Expressions Needleworks that have specialty stitches, but if you have trouble following their instructions, there are some other designers I'm a little familiar with that also include specialty stitches: The Drawn Thread, Jeannette Douglas, Chatelaine, Just Nan, The Victoria Sampler and Teresa Wentzler are a few. With any new brand, you might pick out a smaller design to see if you like how they give their instructions before jumping headfirst into a more complicated design.
