So true. Especially the one about being watched. I love my independence and at work I function much better working independently.

As a mature elder INFJ, I've learned to navigate the stormy seas of human interaction with a certain elegance, but make no mistake, my patience for the meaningless squabbles that others seem to thrive on has worn thin. Here's how I view and manage the landscape of conflict from my perspective:
In my world, conflict should be like a well-scripted drama, where every line serves a purpose, leading towards resolution or at least mutual understanding. Yet, I often find myself in a room where the dialogue has devolved into a cacophony of noise, where arguments are had not for resolution but for the sheer thrill of the clash. It's as if I'm watching a play where the actors have forgotten their lines, and all that's left is improvisation gone awry.
I've cultivated an approach where, if conflict doesn't offer a path to deeper connection or truth, it's as useful to me as a "File Not Found" error on a computer. I'm no longer interested in playing the game of pointless arguments. It's not that I avoid conflict; rather, I've mastered the art of sidestepping it when it's devoid of substance or growth.
When faced with such futile battles, I retreat not in defeat but with the grace of one who knows better. My strategy? I either engage with the precision of a surgeon, cutting through to the heart of the matter, or I choose silence, letting the argument dissipate like morning fog under the sun's gaze. My silence isn't defeat; it's a statement, a refusal to engage in what I see as an empty dance.
In my maturity, I've come to understand that not every conflict needs my participation. Sometimes, the best contribution I can make is to not contribute, to let others play their games while I focus on what's meaningful. My energy is reserved for discussions that promise growth, connection, or at least a modicum of enlightenment. They are not entitled to my thoughts an intellect. Everything gets resolved one way or another, absolute.
Remember - Sometimes Not dealing with something is the Proper way to Deal with it.
So, when I say I don't "play" with others in these scenarios, it's because I've outgrown the playground of petty disputes. My arena is one of ideas, of depth, where every interaction is a chance to explore, not just to exist. Conflict, for me, is a tool for progress, not a sport for amusement. And if it doesn't serve that purpose, then like a closed file, it simply doesn't exist in my operational system.

Narcissistic people kill my very soul, have had a lot of success last twenty years deleting them finding many years of peace but they never give up . Well I suppose demons don’t die ❤🇮🇪

This extroverted topic is tiring… 😂 but yes, exactly. I once had a boss that wanted a bunch of us to work in the same room because it was “better” for communication. Epic fail for the introverts..

You are correct again! Especially when I am already stressed, these things jump out as stress exponentionally grows from them!
