This is the very best instructional (tutorial) video of the Android infotainment system for the Range River L494 & L405. You really spent ample time to explain every minor steps of the installation and why. My only problem is the 3 small wires, and the 2 yellow RCA jacks you omit to explain where they might be connected to and why. I’m trying to connect side view mirrors cameras, and would love to project the view on the system when the turn signals are activated. I’m planning to use a video splitter switcher. When I first turned it on I had no touch screen, could of cried. Turned the car off & locked it... went back 30 mins later and all is working fine so god knows, I was ready to cry for that 30 minutes 🤣 All in all happy days!

All installed now but I’m no teckkie, and although I follow your instructions for setting up the unit I cannot find a match on the 19 pictures of the screen shot I took of my original screen side bars! I have tried doing everyone on the new screen an I cannot even bring up the factory screen let alone one that works! Can you give me some heads up on what I need to do please if possible?
Brilliant installation video and very informative. I noticed you used a gps splitter instead of installing one of the small cheaper gps transmitters. In your experience do you get a better gps signal from the on car gps antenna if you split the signal instead of using the small gps transmitter? What do your DIY systems use?

I cannot find the Black Cable with the white connector. The Blue is here, but I have no idea where the white disappeared to., Do you or any other tech out there know what is the function of the black cable with the White connector? Is that the cause of the missing video? Thank you.
Hi, iv followed this step by step, everything seems to work really well. Only thing that's bugging me is when I turn up the volume and there is no music playing (when a song changes) I get a humming/buzzing noise. Did you or anyone have this problem? Google seems to think a ground loop isolator, if so, do you know which one to get for these systems? Thank in advanced
Hi Mate, love the video. HELP re my car is needed. I'm in Perth Australia. I've got a 07 RR Sport. WITH and intermittent fault re the center console stuff and other items. Its doing my head in.............. So, I start the car, the radio works, Sat Nav and AC all work. Indicators all work. Then 3-4 or 10 minutes later, a fault comes up on the dash and the lot shuts down, NO Aircon, No Radio, No SatNav, Indicators stop working and Hazard light start flashing plus the central locking on the doors start opening and closing! Car drives normal. 3-5-10 minutes later it all switch's back on and works again as normal. THEN 5 mins later OFF again. No idea what it is................ HELP pls Thx Mark
I installed this unit as well and the zlink sucks!!! I’ve been using the Bluetooth from original screen but it disconnects and tries to pick up zlink. If I buy the wireless CarPlay would I have to download file? Or why exactly did you download file? Was that to be able to set it as default?

Hello, I have installed the screen but I need instructions on how to install the black plastic plate that goes on the screen. please share your experience on installation of the black screen cover that goes over the screen.
The plastic trim needs to be taken out and replaced with the new one by cutting the rectangle plastic tabs on the back so you can clip it out. I will post a video for this soon.

Great video guys, I have done one and there are some minor changes in mine, I have Apple car play built in and I don’t use the right side switch pack? My sim does work, apparently they only work in china? I also used a gps adapter pig tale to use the cars antenna, Blue Fakra splitter and Sma to Fakra lead. Also my lower screen has no dedicated hazards so interested in that.

Did you notice much difference loosing the lower part of the front air con vents? does it loose 50% of the vent size with the oversized screen?

Why did you connect the wireless CarPlay to the usb connection in the glove box? It doesn’t come with wireless CarPlay built in?
It's got a standard built in Zlink, we find that Car Auto carplay is better
I installed this unit as well and the zlink sucks!!! I’ve been using the Bluetooth from original screen but it disconnects and tries to pick up zlink. If I buy the wireless CarPlay would I have to download file? Or why exactly did you download file? Was that to be able to set it as default?
