Thank you for explaining the grind in this game. I hate it too when games use cheap FOMO or bet on a completionist's OCD just to get us to sink in more hours into the game.
one thing i didnt see you mention is building upgrades and unlocking more building upgrades. plus im happy that there will be more levels. the reason there is only 3 levels on ea release is cuz the 2 devs wanted to go quality over quntity. i played the demo and got 2 hours out of the game without even completing all quests. game at least for me is really fun even when i played the demo. And you didn't mention performance so I'll mention it here. My laptop from 2020 with an igpu felt really smooth it just got pretty hot. But that happens with like every game I play
I didn’t focus on building upgrades solely but I did mention it, plus gameplay footage showed it off. As for performance, the minimum specs I saw were just like the game…minimal lol. So I felt it was a non-issue and I typically do not address performance unless I see things dip hard enough to warrant a comment. Appreciate the feedback though!
This game is cheap and in early access yet I've already had more fun with it than most $70 AAA titles in the past few years. Amazing work, wish we had more like this
yeah, it seems really fun to me and I was thinking of buying it .. but having the buildings and not being able to strategise other than choosing what to build first .. yeah, idk. Seems like a defense game on rails
To by honest, I only thought the demo was one level. At least when I played it during NextFest it was just the one. If there ended up being 3 levels for the demo then ya I assume it's the same 3.
Thronefall really lacks long term engagement You'll have fun the day you buy it, but after 2h you are basically done with everything it has to offer Some high score grinders might like it
@@kuhpunktYES. This game is repetitive. 3 maps, always the same waves, no goals, all houses in the same place, boring af. Adding restrictions and arbitrary perks doesn't make the game any more interesting. It's like "hey, you beat the game on easy mode, now let's try a little harder and harder... and harder". Sorry. I already lost interest. There are A LOT better games out there. This game feels like a browser/phone game tbh.
@@sulev111 it's really not, I have followed the dev for about a year now and if you play the game and watch his devlogs about it you can probably tell its not the same thing over and over again.

@@sulev111 completely disagree. there are many builds to try and different ways to play the game. you can try different strategies and the game only released like a week ago, and if you were following the devs you would know that they plan to add many more levels. just because you personally dont like the style of the game doesnt mean other people do as well

Yes Thronefall is for me. Minimalist and straight forward, not overly complicated.

The demo only had the tutorial level and the first level. The current release adds the rocky level and snowy level.
Needs more levels. Could easily charge more if it had more content.
It was fun for a few hours.
