Buick Envision S VS Volkswagen Tiguan L I am currently working in China and I want to buy a car. Which car is better between the two? I'm thinking about it. Both models are gasoline. The price of the car is similar. The ‘Envision S’ I'm trying to buy is not the top version, so the interior is just black. The bright color is so pretty ㅠㅠ I am short of money. And fuel efficiency is not very good. ‘Tiguan’ has a good car, but Volkswagen is said to have turned the invisible parts into cheap ones to make up for the big losses it incurred last time. The interior Envision is stylish and the Tiguan feels neat and well organized. I think they are both pretty. Please give me some advice~~^_____^;;
I find it interesting in the redesign on the top level version they no longer have the temperature controls for the rear seat. They don't have the rear tilt function for the rear seat either. It seems to lack a number of features from the previous version top of the line Premium II. I have the 2018 with all those features - this lacks all of them. Maybe I only have the six speed AWD automatic and I don't get the new interior, but without all those features is this really worth it? Worse, I heard 2021 is the last year for the Ionizer before GM takes that away as well. It seems they are making the car less luxurious in this generation, not more as Avenir is supposed to do.
I've heard really mixed reviews about how quiet/noisy the Avenir is. I'm surprised to hear you say this is on par with German rivals. Are your decibel ratings done on the same road surface at the same location to eliminate external variables?
@@CarConfections Cool. Hopefully they improve their seats. Other cars in this price group have much much nicer driver's and passenger seats. There should also be a rollup shades option for passenger in the second and 3rd rows.

They were all very quiet, roade smoothly and were very torque rich around town.
These fake exhaust on cars are getting worse and worse. It doesnt have to be a sports car to have the exhaust visible. It would be better if they just put reflectors there.

Buick is usually near the top. But the media rather push other more expensive brands like the Japanese economy suvs. Japanese brands fail to regain footing: Once regarded as the gold standard in quality, most Japanese brands have not improved as fast as competitors have and they continue to trail most Korean and domestic brands. Mitsubishi (148 PP100), Lexus (159 PP100) and Nissan (161 PP100) are the only Japanese brands to rank above industry average. “W. Edwards Deming said, ‘Quality is to fulfill the requirements of customers and satisfy them,’ and Japanese automakers excelled at this for quite some time,” Sargent said. “But some other automakers have surpassed them in recent years by understanding better what quality means for today’s owners.” www.jdpower.com/business/press-releases/2020-initial-quality-study-iqs

News Reviews Find A Car Watch Cool Stuff 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe 2.4 and 2.0T First Test: Cooler Heads Prevail … at our sea-level winter drag strip SEE ALL 196 PHOTOS Frank MarkusWordsMotor Trend StaffWordsManufacturerPhotos Feb 5, 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe Full Overview This "First Test" actually marks the second time we've tested these two 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe variants, but the first time out-at our 2019 SUV of the Year festivities-conditions were so beastly hot in our high desert test location that we didn't fully trust our results. Sure enough, the evidence suggests our 2.0-liter turbo Santa Fe was suffering a major case of heat stroke in the 98-degree swelter and thin high desert air. The SAE J1349 weather correction formula we use to normalize all test results to room temperature dry air at sea level conditions has proven to be impressively accurate at correcting for widely variable conditions on naturally aspirated cars. It's also proven competent at correcting for reasonable temperature and pressure deviations on turbo- and supercharged vehicles and hybrids. But when an engine and turbo intercooler circuit get too badly heat-soaked, the engine controller starts pulling spark advance to prevent knock, which is hard to compensate for with math. That's when you end up with a 235-hp, 260-lb-ft turbocharged engine that can't keep up with its 185-hp, 178-lb-ft naturally aspirated sibling. All vehicles tested were loaded to Ultimate trim spec, and both the hot and cool 2.0-liter turbos feature HTRAC all-wheel drive while the 2.4-liter naturally aspirated cars are both front-driven. Despite still enjoying a 3.5-pounds-per-horsepower advantage on paper, in the desert the turbo trailed the 2.4-liter by 0.7 second to 60 mph (9.6 versus 8.9 seconds) and by 0.4 second and 1.5 mph through the quarter mile (17.1 seconds at 82.8 mph versus 16.7 at 84.3). The results of our winter test session at California Speedway reverse that outcome, with the turbo beating its down-market sibling to 60 mph by 0.8 second (7.8 versus 8.6 seconds) and by 0.5 second and 4.4 mph in the quarter (16.0 seconds at 88.9 mph versus 16.5 at 84.5)..."

It looks alright!! I don’t really like it! 😂! I enjoyed the bloopers!! So funny
This honestly looks really good. The old Envision fell victim to being shaped like a jellybean because it shared its underpinnings with the Equinox.
This looks great
Don’t like buick but love the content
I hope this sells well in the States. Solid review as always guys,

Buick Envision S VS Volkswagen Tiguan L
I am currently working in China and I want to buy a car. Which car is better between the two? I'm thinking about it. Both models are gasoline. The price of the car is similar.
The ‘Envision S’ I'm trying to buy is not the top version, so the interior is just black. The bright color is so pretty ㅠㅠ I am short of money. And fuel efficiency is not very good. ‘Tiguan’ has a good car, but Volkswagen is said to have turned the invisible parts into cheap ones to make up for the big losses it incurred last time. The interior Envision is stylish and the Tiguan feels neat and well organized. I think they are both pretty.
Please give me some advice~~^_____^;;
Is also a avenir model too
Nice SUV, but we need sedans to come back
I've heard really mixed reviews about how quiet/noisy the Avenir is. I'm surprised to hear you say this is on par with German rivals. Are your decibel ratings done on the same road surface at the same location to eliminate external variables?
Yes, unless we are at a press event and then we note the location
Please do a review of the 2021 Buick Enclave Avenir model
Planning on it in a couple months when the updated 2022 model comes out
@@CarConfections Cool. Hopefully they improve their seats. Other cars in this price group have much much nicer driver's and passenger seats. They should also have an Aviner ELITE model, with very premium and pricey options available ONLY on the ELITE model and ONLY after you get the Avenir Technology package. There should also be a rollup shades option for passenger in the second and 3rd rows.
How about an update on a ‘23 Avenir?
It's pretty if nothing else. You're better off at Mazda or Lexus for the money.
Mazda maybe but Lexus not right now at least
If you’re going for a Lexus you may as well get the Toyota. The Toyota corollary to the Lexus is honestly nicer and more modern
Mazda yeah but Lexus is outdated.
@@kristians2704 This Buick isn't any better and it's not worth the money.
@@naveenthemachine Same difference really.
Great styling but after being repeatedly burned by GM products (both figuratively and literally) I will never buy one again.
You are missing out!
Another crowded segment, the Buick Envision went home with the award in the Compact SUV category. The model received highest marks in all ratings except for features & accessories quality - mechanical and design. Still, it holds bragging rights over the Ford Escape, Honda CR-V, Chevrolet Equinox, Jeep Cherokee, Nissan Rogue, Toyota RAV4, Mazda CX-5, Jeep Wrangler, Volkswagen Tiguan, Mitsubishi Outlander, Subaru Forester, and GMC Terrain. The new GM chime is no joke!
I’ve test drove great vehicles orly down is I tight the seats were more firm with the luxury leather I was hoping a little softer but great
This Buick Envision is nice but I dont know what class it falls in. Its nicer than a Rav4 or CRV but not as nice as a QX50 , Corsair, NX 300 or a X3..
It looks like the CX5 from the side with it's long hood & sloped rear.
This car reminds me a lot of the previous generation Lincoln MKC!
Nice Buick !!!!

The Buick Envision 2.0T is putting down a faster 27.5s figure-8 time vs 2019 CX-5 2.5T and 2019 RDX 2.0T at 27.7 in Motor Trend testing. That continues in an Emergency Lane test by Consumer Reports that has the Envision 2.0T doing 55.5 mph while the CX-5(non-turbo) did 54 mph and the RDX 2.0T can only go 52.5 mph.
For 2019 Envision 2.0T gets a new 9-speed and 295 lb-ft of torque, 316 lb-ft of torque on overboost. The twin clutch and torque vectoring AWD is something that Mazda cannot match only able to use brakes on a single on a wheel for torque vectoring. The Hiperstrut, as also seen on Honda Civic Type-R as dual axis strut, eliminates any torque steer under accleration. At a discounted $35K the Envision Prem ll offers heads up display, adaptive high beams and articulating HID, adaptive cruise control with full stopping, tri-zone climate control, sliding rear seat, 12-volt outlet, along with Buick's longer warranty than Mazda.

These fake exhaust on cars are getting worse and worse. It doesnt have to be a sports car to have the exhaust visible. It would be better if they just put reflectors there.
Unfortunately this is a made in China car for China. They have to sell some in USA or Chinese customers would lose interest. I made the mistake of buying one. I should have known 0% financing was offered for a reason, when other companies were bleeding buyers for dollars. I have had 5 trips to dealer in 6 months of ownership, especially tech issues. Nothing like anything else I have ever owned. The quality is not there, just horrible!
Terrible, fake exhaust outlets? Nothing worse than a buzzing, coffee grinder-sounding 4 cylinder. Not worthy to have a Buick badge. Another substandard, over priced, rushed to market, garbage can.
“But some other automakers have surpassed them in recent years by understanding better what quality means for today’s owners.”

Hyundai Santa Fe Full Overview
This "First Test" actually marks the second time we've tested these two 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe variants, but the first time out-at our 2019 SUV of the Year festivities-conditions were so beastly hot in our high desert test location that we didn't fully trust our results.
