It is great to see explanation of BEC theory in a footage. I have been having a hard time to understand why "u" (mu) has to be less than 0 and what is the physicals explanation of it. If any of you could give me its answer, I'll be very grateful!

In whort: the chemical potential is the parameter which controls the particle number just like the temperature controls the entropy in a system.
