Unarguably this is next gen battery solution ..I am on making semi Recumbent bicycles bafang mid motor and have to show him this briliant motors as the build in magical controllers have mosphets hadling amzing c rates and also have a potential for 120 kms on a 12amps pouch cells with awaiting for next expisode very egarly...
One more analogy for SoC. Think of lithium batteries as closed water containers with opaque pipes connected to source tank (charger) and Sink tap(motor). You cannot estimate the content of water in the tank by simply seeing how high is the tank in the building (i.e. Potential difference or voltage). Since the tank is closed, you also cannot peek into it. The only way to measure how much water is in the tank, is by spending or filling it and counting the rate of flow of water (for batteries, that is Coulomb counting).
Have you checked the impact on pouch or on cylindrical ?any significance difference ? and also temperature variances ? please tell me where are you situated at ?
SIR I HAVE QUERY AS WE ARE PRODUCING MAJOR PART OF ELECCTRICITY BY BURNING COAL AND THE SAME ELECTRIC POWER WE ARE USING TO CHARGE OUR EV VEHICLES SO HOW EV ARE BENEFICIAL FOR MOTHE NATURE?
Burning coal and producing electricity and then using it in vehicle still produces 15-25% lesser carbon footprint than combustion engine Vehicles and also produces much less other harmful gases. Also, for fossil fuel powered vehicle, the fuel has to be extracted from earth, refined, shipped multiple times and finally dispensed at petrol station before being burnt in the vehicle. All these processes have a much larger carbon footprint. With electricity, the supply chain uses much lesser energy for supply to consumers. That is why it's more efficient. Further, there is potential to switch completely to renewable electricity. Combustion fuel is destructive by its very nature.
Great Video but I don't feel puch cells safe they do have a inheritant tendency to bulge, this is caused due to formation of dendrites, when these structures puncture the separator there surely is a physical short circuit, the LiFePo4 pouch cells, should be safe as there is no dendrite formation in that chemistry, lovely Video Sir, highly appreciated content ❤️❤️👍🏻👍🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Recyclability of pouch cell is no different as compared to prismatic or cylindrical. Pouch cell is very similar to prismatic except the outer metal box is not there. - Replied by Mr Abhay

or you can have a pressure transducer at the bottom of the tank. The water level can be directly calibrated with the pressure reading.

why is measured voltage not a good indicator of soc ? We use inverters at home which don't have any sophisticated bms and work totally fine for years.

What %of pouch cell is recyclable at EOL? How does that compare to cylindrical or prismatic?
