In 2015, a Twitter user accused RM to have used in a 2015 song his word from an random tweet months or years before. . RM apologize in 2015 MAMA, because it's expected in Korean culture to aplogogize just because people make a fuss about nothing ! "“First, I sincerely apologize. Even though I just started creating, I am just another creator who experiences a lot of difficulties. I can’t write music through mere internal stimulation, so I take inspiration from talks with friends, books I like, movies, interviews, and letters from fans. (...) “I write the feelings and lines that left an impression on me in notes on my phone. Most are erased or forgotten, but after hearing the criticism today I realized that I was unconscious of the mistakes I made. Without knowing the source and not remembering clearly, I carelessly worked only thinking about having to write songs". But BTS being this "nobody Idol group" coming from this litlle Agency, Antis and other Kpop fandoms swoop down on them like raptors, and the hate campaign was just unbelivable during 2 long loooong years. OG KArmys said they were bullied a lot, on line and even in real life. That's why BTS write the song 2!3!, (Hope for better days) in the wings album in 2016, the first song dedicated to Army.
Saddly, the plagiarism accusations and others resurfaced now, from something BTS have nothing to do with (but they are the pilar of Hybe, so they are a target whenever someone try to destabilised the compagny ....) For those who wants to know more, check out the last Boracity magazine video , about the smear capaign against BTS

true and it´s so unfair i mean every artist or producer do the same thing. to create something new in music now a days is so rare. maybe a sample of one song can be turned into something completely different i many people also use Rm´s speeches as words of wisdom it´s just like that. besides that twitter guy wasn't angry at Rm he thought it was flattering. it´s only in kpop where it becomes a problem. fans are just so desperate finding something that can ruin the rival. also the reason i stick with BTS, i don´t want to get further into that kpop mess.

But also a lot of Armys said that the this twt was so general and actually was inspired by korean poem or something, what I try to say that it wasen't like one in life time idea, but simply something that sounded great but was quiet general thing, from what I understand RM liked what readed and wrote it down bc it give him mamy thoughts and then some time after go back to notes and still liked it and used it.
I honesly even don't know if one sentence in twt can be called out as plagiarism, bc it is online platform and you shere it with all but also it isn't like the twt was full song and some took it but one sentence like what 5 words? So I don't know... And I know you would normally credid someone this give you line, at least BTS do it, but I don't know really how it works with twts...
And yes bc he did say sorry, all this people took it as confession, but it was more PR move, in Korea you should apologize. I think they learned a lot from this now company and lawyer take care of things like this and then never discuss them, there is a lot of people that attack BTS every week....

It wasn’t on purpose, it was a little thing but he apologized anyway and the fandoms who work night and day to campaign against them, had field day. I can’t imagine putting that much energy into tearing someone down, instead of using it to build up the artists you do like. They must be terribly damaged people, and to be that way when young too. I think it speaks to the bullying culture.

LOL suga and jhope are complete opposites personality wise but they're also known for the duo SOPE. They used to film livestreams together, skits, and did a silly song on stage. 😂 Suga said because he's someone who has low energy, is very laid back and chill, having someone like jhope around him really boosts his energy and refills his battery. Jhope is good at reading the room so he knows when to back off but he also loves to have fun and make other people not feel stressed out. He connects the maknae and hyung line together really well and the members jokingly called him the second leader, even namjoon did at one point. :')

the other incidence of plagiarism was because of outfits and props and stuff like that, not the music or lyrics. but because RM apologized once they used that as a constant hate train towards bts. haters of other fandoms is crazy AF..
there are even cases of idols being bullied by fans to the point where they take their own life😔... its crazy and imagine being the leader of the most popular group the pressure and hate is just that much worse.

I don't think he admitted to plagiarism...but he did apologize for it. I can't even really wrap my head around it, but I have heard in Korean culture it is expected to apologize for something people believe you did. Fan culture is very different in Korea compared to the west. I am always astonished how the fans make "demands" of their artists as if they own them. An example of this would be their CEO not imposing a "no dating" rule, but BTS knowing that public dating would not be accepted by many of the fans, so they never publicly dated. I could be way off, please correct me if I am wrong ARMY.

The apology by celebs are usually for causing turmoil and may not always be an admission of a specific act

You are right it was more bc he should then he was guilty but people took it as admitting, and hedlines were like that- that he confessed and bc people read only headlines it was sooo big....

I think - if im not mistaken - he used words from a tweet in a song. Personally, the whole hate campaign because of that sounds crazy to me.

Finally someone that recognizes that not all parents are great parents instead of throwing out a blanket statement.

The plagiarism was not intentional. If i remember correctly it was something he unknowingly quoted from either a book or a tweet. He realised it later, and apologized.
Atleast that's what i got from Twitter.

About the plagiarism, what I know is that he see a line that was literally part of a tweet and like very much so him use it as inspiration to a song and unhappily use it as a line on the song...

Welcome back! It's nice to see your faces again. ☺Very interesting that you mentioned imposter syndrome Soare. Jin has publicly admitted to dealing with that and even made a song to express how he felt. The song is called Abyss. I feel like all of the members probably feel that way at times especially namjoon.. being the leader of the biggest group in the world, the spokesperson, the face of bts, he's done an outstanding job all these years. The pressures are immense and i'm thankful that they have each other to lean on. You can see more of their vacation from hawaii during bon voyage season 2! They film their vacations and there's currently four seasons of bon voyage on weverse. It's entertaining, cute, and heartwarming. I love living vicariously through their trips. 💜

The plagiarism accusations against bangtan will always boil my blood because thats basically the go-to in the kpop industry when they want to run a smear campaign against an artist they cant find any actual dirt on. It happens to this day, but obviously theyve now grown too big and too beyond the kpop sphere for it to affect their career. It must still be so frustrating though.

Yeah tgey said 40- 50 years old bc then they still were at the rise, and Idol usually after 30 lose popularity so if tgey were looking thru stereotyp in kpoo they would think that 40 would be different, but now they know fans are waiting for them, they also said thatvtgey knoe that most fans are growing with them so tgey don't feel insecure tgat they will be too old etc, bc a lot changed, how tgey look and hiw people look at them, etc.
    PS.
Jhope on the yacht in Hawaii was see sick and you can see it when he come out from under deck. Haha
