Friend, it really hectic.... I did it twice... recent one was during diwali...this time I preferred day time journey, started from vriddhachalam@8.00am and reached Mumbai by 12.15 in the night..... Roughly 16 hrs journey... including breakfast at Salem and lunch in Bangalore...tea + petrol pump stop overs

Go via Bangalore. I know of some friends who travel with family by car. But they take a 3 hour halt.... so it takes them around 20 hours.

@ 1:13:35 freeze and see the sign board. 440 Kms away from tumkur. @ 1:34:54 Hebbalu toll plaza which is 180 Kms from tumkur. I'm not airlifted from satara to tumkur, my friend. My camera was capable of having only 32 GB memory card. Hence I was little concious while recording. Initially started recording freely, later I realized about the limitation with memory card. Hence I restricted my self to record close to approaching toll plaza's. Moreover, between 2 to 5.30 am, I was keen in driving properly, not to get sleep during that time.

Highly risk...just with a sense of determination, that trip was completed. Two days prior to trip, I started taking nap during day time so that I'll not get sleep during my journey.

Your reply might be helpful to plan the trip.

    • @videologind8237

Hi, Sorry for the delayed reply. Mumbai to Bangalore takes 12 hrs (on an avg speed of (at least) 100kms/hr, continuous journey). Friend, while going to Bangalore, it takes 11-12 hrs, however, the return journey from Bangalore to Mumbai seems very very long and tiredsome. Once, it took nearly 14-15 hrs for me to reach Mumbai. The reason was, in some parts of the Karnataka, service roads were active instead of Highway (due to ongoing construction activities). So, plan accordingly. My suggestion, you shall break the journey into two. Take rest and travel. Take care and be safe.

Mr Rahul, don't have any intention of misguiding anyone...Just recorded my trip and posted it. Reg. your post, I have a proof of fastag e-statement summary for that trip. I too aware that posting anything in public forum needs evidence...I have that. For your kind information, I myself tried another trip , but took 12hrs to cover the same distance. Same driver, different results, different date... possibly enthusiasm might be low or traffic etc... there are many factors comes into play.
