That’s a gorgeous lil’ unit. As someone who just plays at home, this would actually be perfect for me (and my daughter). I’ll have to check on pricing over here. Thanks for the enthusiastic demo, Andy.
I was thinking about you when making this. I would love to know what you think of it. May I recommend this link - thmn.to/thoprod/471695?offid=1&affid=288
Ok, to my aging ears, that little thing sounds spectacular. Love it. Also, and I’m not saying you’re a better bassist than guitarist, but your playing was great! Really, you had me at My Sharona, to be honest.
Ironically, these small bass and guitar amps were patterned after the The Beatles, by request for much more power, wattage and volume "Super Beatle" to play the larger ( to stadium size ) concerts they were doing later in their touring. I kindof laugh looking at Paul's current setup with rows of Mesa speakers. I don't know what's powering those, but I think Paul will never allow himself to be underpowered AGAIN.
Hello, I watched your two mini beetle reviews, maybe now consistently the third version of SuperBeetle Audio (I have one), greetings from Polish Masuria, I am now subscribed and waiting
Great video. You say it's not loud enough to gig with, but how big a gig are you thinking of? Would it be loud enough to play at a pub gig, for instance?
Mentioned is a VOX 10" ? VOX list it as 8" and at 4 Ohms to give you 50 Watts (so If you want to use using an 8 Ohm extension cab you'll be down to 25 Watts.)
Great Video , I take it the head and cab can not be bought individually ? and I don't think you covered the rear panel of the amp head enough, ie I believe there is an output jack for extension speakers and impedance ratings listed next to it.? and I presume it would cut out the 8" speaker cab does it? ,
I don’t understand why Vox don’t make full-format versions of these. The original Super Beatle was a “stack”, several feet tall. One like that would easily be large enough for gigging. These tiny ones are cool, but only practical for studio or practice use.
That pretendy Hofner bass really captures the sound of a few large elastic bands stretched over a cardboard box. 😅 I mean there's a place for everything in a mix somewhere, & it was only when you brought out the P Bass that I knew to attribute it to the guitar rather than the amplifier. Quite fun though.
Demoing how the volume compares while one is speaking was a good idea. Helped this to be a more comprehensive demo.

Any amp with a fuzz switch is an immediate W, regardless of the quality of fuzz. Love that Squier bass btw!
I bought a VOX MV50 based on your last Beetle VOX video and the Nutube stuff. I'm really impressed!
Glad to hear it! I still love That little amp
@@TheGuitarGeek The BM50 is already sold out and it has the treble booster.
Things will be okay as long as you're smiling while raising your voice!! Love you brother and have a blessed day!!!
I love me my Pathfinder from Vox... but I might need to go in on the cuteness of this.

You do make these demo’s fun old boy

try it with a guitar?
Odd that Vox have chosen to put an 8" speaker in this but a 10" in the guitar version.

Sounds nice n crisp. What if you added some foam inside the cab to keep it from farting out at higher volumes?
That's a really cool looking amp.
Slap-a-da-Bass !
Could you use a headphone splitter to plug into the line out?

Do you recommend it for use in live performances?
(obviously not massive concerts, but for 200 or 500 spectators)
Thanks!
Leaving a comment here as I have the same question
Enjoying this, thank you... Could a review of the Squier Mustang bass be far behind ?
Sure! It’s modded though so I am not sure how useful it would be
I'd go with the Ampeg Micro CL (100w, 2x10).
It costs about £70 less than the Vox (50w, 1x8") and you get a lot more amp.
That’s the cutest bass amplifier I’ve ever seen 🤗
I forgot how big you are that could be 215 cab.. 10:52 👌🏽ok so it’s an actual lil 110cab 🤘🏽
Yeah it’s tiny baby tiny
this is so cute and sounds nice and roound - how does it sound with guitars? (clean sound)
man this is a really fancy bass amp for at home, but also relatively expensive. Sad thing the cab can't keep up with the head

will that hofner sound better w guitar version of this amp w 10inch... the bass version is 8 inch home brew,,,, that 8 ohm spkr draws 25w max
Is this reliable and solid material ?
Good morning 😊
Hello there!
Bass ❤😊
Just bit on the expensive side ... so no socks filler ... but a great amp@home
Would even pass the "me no likey tech in the living room" police
Will Mrs Geek let you have both in the living room?
That's insane that there's even a fuzztone switch on this amp, I honestly kind of wish my Vox VX50 guitar amp had that! The one thing it lacks.

I made it to the end of the video club
basically dressed up vx50ba huh... bigger box same 8 inch 4 ohm,, huh
But- why does it looks like a violin🥲
A big bass violin🥲
When you gonna gimme some CHIME Sharona!?
I don't understand Vox's logic in putting 8-inch speaker in bass cabinet and 10-inch speaker in guitar cabinet!..
Isn't illegal, to play bass with a pick? I'm afraid, someone will tell it to #Davie504.
I love a good Fart fuzz :)
