  • I imaged the Embryo nebula for the first time in my astro career. As always, I decided to do so under the dark skies of the desert Arizona. I was joined by another Arizona astrophotographer, Michael Rushalko. I hope you join us on our night at Alpha Scorpii!

    The amount of knowledge that you must possess to make this work is phenomenal. So much technique and great equipment doesn’t hurt either. Beyond me. But I marvel at you guys.

      Thank you so much! As with everything else in life, we learn and after we learn we master it. Though I have still much to learn compared to others, I feel like I am doing okay 👍. Appreciate your kind feedback! Clear skies

    Love it, excellent imaging session and results, Isaac. Both your and Michaels setups are amazing. Definitely cold out there, I went out to Anza Borrego this new moon and also felt that desert cold. ; )

    Wow what night under the stars. Both images look amazing. There was so much dust in your image, some fell off the screen and onto my desk!🤣. And did I hear right? - you have another 6200 on the way!! Man how did you get that past management?!!

    • @IcemanAstro
      @IcemanAstro  8 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks so much Logan! Sorry about the dust 😅😅. Also, what i meant was I'm going to take OFF the 6200 from the cat and pair it with the Rokinon. Management would NOT approve another expense like that!! 😂

    Love your channel, just found it and subscribed. I just bought a 5 inch APO. No camera or tracking gear yet, but that is the plan. You guys are great and your gear is excellent, and most importantly you guys are very knowledgeable. 👍

    Enjoyed it Isaac. You make it like being there. It was fun :) I'm taking an interest in a second setup widefield with a camera lens.

    Awesome video Isaac!.👍It's great that Mike had his first clear night at Alpha Scorpii !😀Both Mike's M78 image, and your NGC1333 shot turned out superbly!👍BTW, if you don't mind, I'd like to share the following suggestion: With your NGC1333 project, you may want to take some images with your H-alpha filter, because the roughly semicircular nebulae that lies between the bright star as the very edge of the field and NGC1333 contains a lot of H-alpha signal. The red in that nebula would create a nice contrast with the blue reflection nebulae & blue stars in the field. 🤔
    A couple of quick questions:
    1. Does Mike have a YT channel and/or website?🤔
    2. Did Jason do any imaging, or did he just brag about his hot nights at home with LOLA & NINA?😉

      @derekbaker3279 I don’t have a RUclips channel, not skilled enough to make videos. I only have an Astrobin account that I just started posting images last month.

      Ho Derek. I did not know about the Ha I'm this region! I tried to shoot a more cropped in FOV a year back with Ha and saw nothing 😐. With that being said, I just shot the RGB.
      Jason just went to chat and then returned home. Appreciate you watching the video man!!

      @@michaelrushalko6040 Hi Micheal ! Thanks for responding to my question. I certainly can identify with what you stated. Also, I definitely must check out your images on Astrobin!
      BTW, do you have a link to the step-down aperture rings you used on your Rokinon 135mm lenses? Also, what f-ratio was produced when you installed those rings?

    Dude! The Volume! Turn Down the Volume on your tracks...Nearly blew out my speakers.

    • @IcemanAstro
      @IcemanAstro  9 месяцев назад

      Hi Mark. Sorry about the volume. In my editing I use both headphones and the audio level to not over do it on the audio as well as balance when I talk and transition.

    • @derekbaker3279
      @derekbaker3279 9 месяцев назад +1

      FWIW, the volume I experienced in Isaac's video was not much different than the volume of the audio used by advertizers (commercials) on YT. Unfortunately, many creators have their audio levels set too low for YT, resulting in a jarring & painful transition from video to ads, and vice versa. So, I suspect that you are used to listening to a lot of videos produced with the audio recorded too quietly. 🤔
