As you said I did the login and other stuff, on the test side it showed "sorry no test files are available" so I logged in after a week it is the same...even today again when I logged in. It showed me the same.
Please help me how can get out of this.

Okay, so I had contacted their live chat group in their website about their grading system and this is what they had to say:
" 80% (corrections) is the standard to pass. Please note that a 6-minute test file, MD (medium difficulty) will pass if it has 11 or less major mistakes only (adjusted proportional to the audio duration). Major mistakes include soundalikes, mishears, omissions, and misspells. The minor changes do not affect the grade and these include fillers, false starts, style changes and subjective changes.
A test file will pass if it has a grade of 3 or higher, that means as follows:
For HD (high difficulty): it will pass if it has 23 or less major mistakes for a 6-minute file
For MD (medium difficulty): it will pass if it has 11 or less major mistakes for a 6-minute file
For LD (low difficulty): it will pass if it has 5 or less major mistakes for a 6-minute file"

@@samehsam5905 medium do have less numbers of mistakes allowed than high difficulty, but its because medium have more common words to accurately transcribe than the other one same goes for easy: the audio is easy to decipher that they expect you to make less errors.

Hi Jenny. I do have some questions. [1] Where they say, "Numbers one to nine should be transcribed in letters and numerals otherwise, except for measurements." Does it means from 9 i.e 10 onwards should be numerals? Or Should all numbers be transcribed as words?
[2] What does this mean? "The raw transcript should not contain text other than the spoken audio." In their guidelines. Please Jenny I need clarifications. Thank you.

Hi Jennifer, nice video. My application was approved at scribie today. I got selected although I made a few mistakes unlike at rev or gotranscript where u need to be a lot accurate and still you may not get selected. Also, one thing that I noticed was that the grading systems allow more mistakes on High difficulty than on medium or low difficulty files. So I would suggest the people who are applying to select high difficulty files instead of medium ones because sometimes even high difficulty files can be easy even if they are tagged high difficulty. Just listen to the preview and choose the one with clear audio and the one you think u can transcribe. Again great video and waiting for part 2.

@@bepure.dontgoforhornypussi4797 Well, I'd only advise u to take up those medium and high difficulty rated files on Scribie. They're a bit challenging, but u get more wiggle room to pass on those tests.
I'm at QC now, and I earn mostly $10 a day, a little more over $20 on a good day.

Hi Jennifer. I really appreciate all the information you share. This seemed like a company that I could learn to transcribe, but after receiving the invite I found that they don't have any files for the test. Oh, well, I will check back.
I did want to mention something about the pay. I signed up with QA World, and so I discovered it is based in the Philippines. So I looked up the minimum wage there, and it's around $10 US per day. So this might be a similar situation for Scribie. I see that their office is a San Francisco address, but their founder is from India. So for people in Asian countries where the wage is so different than here, I guess it's pretty good pay.

Just done doing the test and waiting for my results, fingers crossed.
I failed transcribe me twice with 94% in all my audios. Now looking for another.
It seems that they have gotten more strict in what passes. I’ve tried 2 times so far and thought I did a good job. The subject matter was something I was familiar with and the audio was clear. I’m not an English major but have been a Technical Writer for 25 years. 😃 I looked my compare before I submitted and tried to change something, but the editor didn’t save it, so I guess I’ll be trying again!
don't try again this site is a scam they bs you and you wind up doing work for them for free
I am hard of hearing and English is not my first language, but I have a degree in English language , I find teaching is hard because of my hearing problems so I wish to work something else !
Do you think I can work in transcription jobs ? knowing that I fully hear the videos of native speakers in youtube like yours (I found your English very smooth and clear ) so my question is : are the audios of the transcription jobs clear or no ?

Hi Jennifer, great video! I signed up a while ago but never got around to doing the test; now when I go back to try and do it I'm met with this message: "We're sorry. There are no test files available right now.". Do you have any idea how often they add new tests? :)

Do we only have option to type each word y work after hearing audio? Can we able to download the audio file and transcribe with some other website or tool ? So that I can do the task easily

Why does Scribie not tell or show you what you did wrong on the transcription part of the test? I submitted mine last night and I got the reply that I failed, and it was within seconds of submitting it. How can someone read it that quick?
Hi Jennifer, I hope you are well. I have recently found your channel and have found this very helpful.
One question for you. Did you try any of the Practice Files on Scribie before taking the test?
I am from the UK and have been typing for over 30 years professionally. When I transcribed the audio files from the Practice Files Section I had too many errors. I think that the transcribers who originally produced those files were not native English speakers. (I did notice that they didn't follow their own rules). As you are an English Teacher it would be really nice to have your feedback on these. Best wishes
Apparently it says that there are no files for the test and asked to on notifications if new test file pops up. What does that mean are they not hiring at the moment?
I had trouble submitting
I finished 30 minutes before and try to submit until the last 1 minute, when I gave up; is this common, because, now am down to 9 attempts, how to avoid this happening again

Hello, I created this video in February, the month it was released on RUclips. My guess is that because of the pandemic, there aren't as many test files available right now since so many people are trying to work from home. I hope that when the pandemic ends, there will be more work available or more tests on Scribie!
I made one that was too shitty. I actually made enough real mistakes as to be rejected, but what worries me is that there were parts that I'd never wrote, and there were even gramatically incorrect amendments made by the reviewer as if they were correct. even an I (capitalized i) replaced by an I (the same capitalized i). they were few but if you are working for money it will harm your pocket.

Hello Jennifer.. I'm trying to do the sample test, but the F keys don't work as simple as that. I keep getting notifications to use control+alt+p.. meanwhile the speaker is way past the beginning
I got accepted last night and started working today on Scribie. ALL of the jobs I've seen today are $5/ah and $6/ah. No higher
Raise your grades back up to 4 and the rates will go back to $10/AH.

How much time does usually take yo review the test? I sent mine on thursday night, and been checking the website constantly but it says "pending for review". Also, it is possible and realistic to make at least $10 per day in this site? Working 6 hours more or less. Thanks a lot for making this videos, they are very helpful.
Thanks Alvaro! I heard back from Scribie within a week. My guess is that they are probably pretty saturated with applications right now, so it might take a bit longer than usual. Also, I think $10 per day is reasonable. Have you tried applying for Rev captioning ($10 is definitely possible there, or more). You can also try QA World as you'll get accepted right away since it isn't a manual review. Job availability isn't great, but if you're quick to snap a job up, you'll be fine.

I tried logging in with my paypal but it says it's still not verified. I still need to connect it to a bank acc or a credit card. But mine is already connected to a bank acc. I even use my paypal to receive pay from QA world.

I have no idea what that could mean.. I am not tech support and don't work for Scribie so you should try to contact their support via email. Good luck!
hi, thanks for this video but can you please do a comparison of different transcription platforms to see which one has better pay and is easy to get in because as you said 50 cents for 6 minutes of the audio file you transcripted is way too low. I think transcribe me pays about 0.78$ per audio minute

I started to make one about 3 weeks ago, and then got to the test and found that the audio was IMPOSSIBLE. I couldn't understand even 20% of what was being said because there was so much background noise and it was so muffled. Unless they change the audio, I won't bother with them again.

Because other sites such as: Rev , gotrascript, etc require you to have nearly perfect English which I do not think I have at the moment.
So, I want your suggestions and overall your opinion about this.

Why not just run some speech recognition software such as "Dragon," that would do the typing for you as the audio plays? Then just spent a little time on touchups and corrections?
