Excellent cover/treatment. One of my favorite songs ever.

me too, unfortunately I have never seen Ian or anyone else perform it live as well as the studio recording. They change the tempo or over improvise the lead sections etc. The recording is so perfect.

What some fail to see or understand is that covers are tributes, not competitions to see who plays the song "better" (a purely subjective term in music/art). I love Ian's version, but this is good. Just enjoy the music and don't be wound up so tight that you feel you have to pick the "better" version.

Good that he shows respect for obvious influences, but this is only a marginal cover of the original. Check out any Ian Moore version if you think this version is good; the difference is clear.

I agree with you mate. Ian Moores voice just oozed class. I must admit that the guy from American Idol a few years back (Casey was his name) did a dam fine job of Ian Moore songs. Such a shame that Ian changed direction in music. I was fortunate to see Ian in London ion 4th July 1994 supporting Omar & Howlers in an intimate setting.

I still like the original by Ian Moore better.
