My sister was attending Bryant & Stratton College in Boston . I flew up from NY at 16 years old to visit her at her dorm . She took me to the Boston Tea Party and I had a blast!! It was winter of 1969 and Lee Michaels and Frostie were performing live Tell Me How Do You Feel!! I had the best time ever. And on the way back to her dorm, we played in and struggled to walk in breast high snow that sobered us up quick!! I will never forget The Boston Tea Party Disco!

OK I am just hearing about this place now - and looked it up and discovered one of my friends used to/still does? live there. I've been inside a gazillion times and did not know the VU played there, Zeppelin played there, Fleetwood Mac played there, MC5 suggested the crowd burn the place down and take it to the streets lol, the dead played there, etc

The place was outstanding. All the best British bands would play at BTP as their first stop in American, before heading south to play at Fillmore East in NYC. The closest experience for me was The Mudd Club in NYC in late 70s early 80s Punk scene.

Don't know how accurate this listing of BTP acts is (not every entry lists the opening act), but it shows you opened for Ultimate Spinach July 4-6 1968, 10 Years After Oct 10-12 1968, J. Geils Nov. 21-23 1968 and Charlie Musslewhite Dec. 26-28 1968. Must be awesome memories, Mario!

Do Eddie and Stan recall a Native American Band by the name of Redbone? They appeared there as the opening band for Ten Years After on March 2-4 1970? Redbone was a new band at the time and had since became famous for Come and Get Your Love in 1974. The song has been playing on JC Penny’s ads. Would love to hear if they remember them. Several of the original members are still around.

Actually Stanley and I went to See a concert in Boston in 1970 or 71 with The Allman Bros. Redbone, and Roland Kirk. We went to a party with Redbone in their hotel room at the Sheraton and in the room with us was Redbone, The Allman Bros, The Cast of Hair and a bunch of other people including a hones WIno Native American named Andrew Goo Goo. anyway The Allman bros left the party and 10 minutes later the coops came in and busted us for having pot. So I spent a night in a jail cell with Redbone. It's a long funny story.
