My thoughts on mission include this one particular sore spot. I’m an SDA, but this is probably the same in most churches. Two questions. 1. What is probably the one thing, mission-wise, that God wants His people to do? 2. What is probably the one thing that is the most lacking in church to help us do that mission? Answer to both, my opinion, is instructions on how to witness. And similar to that is instructions on how to give bible studies. All I ever hear in study groups is you need to witness more and you need to give Bible studies.
When I was in the hospital back in the 80s, I was cared for by a young nurse named Damaris. I asked her what the name meant and with the manner of someone who had done it a hundred times she said "*Sigh* Acts, chapter 17, last verse."
