The more you watch Euphoria the more you realize it should’ve been set in College. Like yes stuff like this happens in high school. But not all of it. Like maybe 2 to 3 aspects per big high school. But most of this happens in the bigger colleges across America. And since the actors are tweeners it only makes more sense for it be set in college.
Honestly me and my friend group experienced worse i can't really talk outside of the school I was at but ik alot of this was going on and my school is still considered the best in the state

Dude, my full opinion especially after the Idol that guy needs to have his computer investigated. I watched about an hour of euphoria and had to hold back physical disgust at how much sex was jam packed into a show meant to be about MINORS. If it was set in college I wouldn’t be as disgusted but high school?? That guy needs to be looked into

In reality the actors were practicing the choreo. The dance was used in Lexi’s play and it’s a “fake flashback”, neither the characters or the actor were really doing this

I know the display of sexuality is weird, but I think it’s a necessary parallel to Lexi’s showstopper. Nobody cared when the girls behaved in such a way, but it’s outrageous when the boys do.
Well this one is really obviously for show. There’s no gay sexual attention, the girls are sort of reducing everything (even their own experience of sexuality) to a performance. It’s interesting.
This scene was so good bcos it shows lexi's awareness of maddys and cassies played up secksuality for attention. It's really performative and like theyre the h0ttest girls in school and they know that boys see them this way.
Ppl keep talking about "ou cheer choreography" but i don't think it was part of the actual choreo. It just represents how ppl saw//perceived them+their friendship, esp boys//the footballers and onlookers who saw them cheer but also at school.
I think a younger Maddie and Cassie might've even played into it bcos they both loved attention and both use their secksuality as ways to feel powerful and important.
It also shows the power dynamic between Cassie and Maddie in their friendship. when Cassie ~goes down~ on her and then Maddie is behind her. Maddie Is/was the leader between the two of them, she was more in control / dominant and Cassie being more submissive and wanting to please her which in their friendship translates to her wanting to be more like Maddie.
Even in the choreography she seems to be following Maddie's lead. It's really interesting imo
