I had an outside tank about that size. No power/air to it. It thrived, the val completely took over, let it run for about a year until I needed the space for something else, but I really enjoyed seeing the fish and plants in natural light but not from above like a pond. Was in full sun and honestly had no algae. I miss that tank.
I love your interaction with the lovely bird visitor🩷Everything is delightful inside and out. Its amazing how you coordinate all that needs to be done. Blessings to you all.
Adrian and LRB two of the bravest Fishkeepers out there… Ants like that 😮😂 I’m joining the others who commented on the serenade brought to you by your Bird friend !! 🐦
and yet another great video. watching you do stuff is much more enjoyable than watching someone just sitting there talking about what they do. looking forward to more.
You live in such a beautiful place…I’m in the USA and would love to see a tour of the outdoors. We are on a hill that backs on a river in a Delaware. We have so much wildlife (no kangaroos, sadly)and are in the flight pattern for many migrating birds. I had intended to plant the whole yard with native plants as I’d always done, but became very disabled after surviving bacterial meningitis. The people who had the property before us were great believers in grass lawns and nasty chemicals, which I consider a mortal sin. I would have had to replace a lot of soil before growing any food stuff, but that was my kind of fun. The new/old tank is great! I really enjoy your videos!
Quick tip with the duckweed. I use a small shop - wet/dry vac, tape a reduced size tubing to the one coming from the vac, I use 3/8 ID , that will decrease the suction a bit so you don’t need to worry about sucking up a fish. Skim it across the top of the water gently and bam, quick duckweed eradication with pretty good precision and doesn’t get everywhere like using a net. If you want to see how I do it I can make a video, but not much duck weed left to get rid of now, pretty much did the job.
Yay another great video Adrian I so look forward to your content, I've had some success Sterbai babies, double red apistogramma cacatoid and Kribensis babies! Brutus typical bull breed my 4 are just the same! Zig as cute as always! What a joy it must be to have all those birds singing! Scotland doesn't have many singing birds 😂 😂 all love from Scotland in - 2 degrees with snow forecast nexr week 🙄❄️❄️☃️⛄️
I think a good idea for a video is a step by step account of how to move a large tank. Many people face this when moving house or when renovating/decorating. Thanks.
Entertaining as always. 2 things struck me. 1st is the corner tanks on the high shelf. How the hell do you have so much weight up there with no visual supports? The 2nd thing is I love the aviary which we only see in passing. Bird videos are cool too.
Hi, thanks for your amazing videos. I have a tank setup outside under cover it gets a tiny amount of direct light. I am pulling out massive amounts of hair algae every week and I assume it is from the natural light. Please keep us updated about this thank and how it goes as I would like to see if you get the same or similar problems and how you deal with it.
Thanks for your content Adrian. Like me you must have tadpoles outside in your water. One or two in the bottom of a fry tank temporarily make the best cleanup crew. I know there are strict rules around keeping frogs and tadpoles but if they were born at your place bringing them in for a short while and putting them back works for me. What do you think? Cheers Malcolm
There is a risk of non native fish spreading disease/bacteria etc to the tadpoles, thus possibly spreading into the waterways and other native species.
Hi adrian I have one 20 gallon tank that i want to breed albino corys and neon dwarf rainbows i am worried that i will mix up the eggs what would you do and do you have any advice on how to breed them both.
So much NATURE around your place...I love it!!!
That bird is gorgeous! Must be so fun to get those visitors in the bush 😍 Love your setup

Hi Adrian, I remember a few videos back you mentioned that all your water at home if filtered.
Can you do a video about your water filter system?
I’m having conniptions looking at those tanks on shelves that are screwed into the termite affected wall. I’d be getting them down quickly
❤

I see you use black and clear tubs outside, do you prefer one more then the other?
Do you use any special substrate in your tanks or just gravel and sand?

Won't this just fill up with algae? Looks amazing otherwise.

Keep enjoying the beers if you ask me 🫢🙏
